Interesting conversation overheard in the barber shop

Went to get a haircut this morning. Old fashioned place not a salon.

5 other people in the office barbers included, all trump supporters as are most of the white males of my age group in Lake County. . The first thing I heard was one of the barbers explaining how the virus is and engineered disease made by combining SARS with the cold virus. I thought, here they go.

Then one of the said Trump is really screwing this up even though I support him. The guy who said it is a roofing contractor and an Airborne veteran if the stickers on his truck are to believed. I was shocked when they all agreed with him. My barber said I voted for him but if he does not get a handle on this he won’t be re-elected. I had said nothing the whole time because I generally do not engage in these types of scenarios. But my barber asked what I thought. All I said was that this is the first real crisis he did not create himself and you cannot bully or out tweet a virus. No one disagreed.

Now, they are all real concerned about the theme parks closing which would kill their businesses since we live in the Orlando area. Our economy is under tremendous threat.

Anyway, at least some of them have started questioning. I expected they all will end up voting for him but even if 5 percent of his base sits it out he is in trouble.

Thought I would share since it is the first time in 3 years I have heard any of his supporters questioning him at all

I was extremely worried for a few minutes then this happened and it was like a beautiful woman kissing my boo boo to make it all better.

Just last week I was telling my barber that every time a new virus breaks out it makes me want to vote for a socialist.

Today I heard something so strange I had make sure it was not satire.

gavin screwmeinthebutt newsom PRAISED Donald Trump for Trump's response to COVA-19.  newsome said "he understood the problem, made promises and has kept every promise he made."

I was driving and almost went off the road.

Your sperm bank may be overflowing with the Jism you have procured, yet your brain remains empty of any logic needed to survive.

You socialist misfits wrapping yourselves in and around any gonadal politic unleash the poison among us.   Eat your aching seed and leave us.

I was reading that in the news yesterday.  I had to read it twice to make sure it was the same Gavin Newsome.

Newsom has seen the Trump Administration in action and to varying degrees worked with the Feds in regard to coronavirus in at least three instances:

* When the Feds started screening passengers arriving from China, just 6 days after China identified the coronavirus to WHO, two of the first three airports were in CA, SFO and LAX;

* When the Feds started bringing in evacuee Americans from Wuhan, they went into quarantine AFB and ANG bases in CA;

* When the Feds, in the last week or two, handled that cruise ship with a suspected Covid-19 patient, Newsom saw that the Feds got the test to the ship, and when the test was positive, established quarantine, diverted the ship to SF, and when the ship was near enough, had it stop so tests and testing personnel could test everyone aboard to make sure they were safe to debark, and then allowed the ship to enter the bay and dock at SF; that took a LOT of coordination between SF, CA, the CDC, Coast Guard, and the US military (probably the Navy).

I'll give Newsome kudos for manning up and admitting things have run well.  That can't have been easy for him to do, but it was the correct thing to do.

I learned a few minutes ago that the context was a press conference about the cruise ship I mentioned above. For whatever reason, Newsom answered honestly, without minimizing, an honesty for which he'll probably catch flak from Dems in DC.
