BHO is down from +3 in yesterday's  RR tracking poll, I believe.

Daily Presidential Tracking Poll

The Democratic National Convention has begun and the poll numbers are bouncing, but not in the direction that most people anticipated.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows Barack Obama attracting 44% of the vote while John McCain also earns 44%. When "leaners" are included, it’s still tied with Obama at 46% and McCain at 46%. Yesterday, with leaners, Obama had a three-point advantage over McCain (see recent daily results). Tracking Polls are released at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time each day. Sign up for free daily e-mail update.

Obama is supported by 78% of Democrats while McCain gets the vote from 85% of Republicans. The GOP hopeful also has a slight advantage among unaffiliated voters.

Tracking poll results are based upon nightly telephone survey interviews and reported on a three-day rolling average basis. Today’s results are the first based entirely upon interviews conducted since Joe Biden was named to be Obama’s running mate.

Obama’s support has declined in each of the last three individual nights of polling. This may be either statistical noise or a reaction to the selection of Biden. If it’s the latter, it probably has less to do with Biden than Hillary Clinton. Forty-seven percent (47%) of Democratic women say Clinton should have been picked and 21% of them say they’ll vote for McCain.

Yet the Little Goons and the Big Goons carry on as if Obama Hussein is taking the nation by storm.  It reminds me of the family who still thought their little girl should have won the competition even though her little flaming batons set the stage on fire and burned down the auditorium.

Has ever any candidate in history got a "convention dunk" instead of a "convention bounce"?

Speaking of auditoriums, I saw the democrat stage on TV last night.  I was right.  It looks like a pinball machine in play.

it could be that because the dem primaries took SO long, and managed to so captivate the national attention (it's a theory,
bear with me) that this election will break all the rules, and there won't be any post-convention bounces to speak of.

if rasmussen is correct, and it's 46-46, then there's only 8 percent of the public remaining that is truly undecided.

I said it from the very beginning. My theory is the more they cried "rascist" the more they played the "race card" the more bored with them the American public would become. They are like a bunch of thugs! No one wants to vote a President in with ties to Black Liberation Theology, hatred for American, and associations with terrorists. Except those who go to every conceivable contortion to explain all these things away.

Wednesday, August 27, 2008

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows Barack Obama and John McCain each attracting 44% of the vote for the second straight day. When "leaners" are included, though, McCain picked up another point since yesterday and now has a statistically insignificant one-point advantage over Obama, 47% to 46% (sign up for daily e-mail update).

This is the first time since August 9 that McCain has held any advantage over Obama. The candidates have been within two points of each other on every day but two for the past month (see recent daily results). Tracking Polls are released at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time each day.

McCain is viewed favorably by 56% of the nation’s voters, Obama by 53% (see trends).

odd there is nothing like a bump mid-convention and post veep.

I don't think Babe Ruth could pound the sort of homer the messiah is going to need tomorrow.  Friday through the weekend should be interesting.  Perhaps moreso next week to see if McC fares any better.

Oh my.

And to think while Barry "Goldwater" Obama's been running around doing all sorts of loud flashy things, John McCain hasn't done a damned thing yet.

Obviously John McCain knows what he's doing, but I'd like it if he shared with some of us exactly what it is he's doing; it's awesome, whatever it is he's doing.

At this point he seems to be letting the natives burn down their own huts - which is fine by me.
