The Republican Party Is Now the Party of Putin!
We elders remember when the Republican Party was dead set against Russia and its phony Marxist/Leninist 5-year plans for global domination. Such things were anathema to all Republicans. Any leaning toward the Russian point of view was grounds for severe criticism or even criminal charges and banishment from society for Republicans.
All that has changed. Now, the leader of the Republican Party, the very President of the United States, is fully in league with Vladimir Putin, the former KGB bigwig who is still in search of global domination. The Republican President takes his orders directly from the Kremlin these days, and the entire Republican cohort in both houses of Congress is just fine with that, with many in leadership complicit in it.
The so-called Republican base, which is now made up of white supremacists and haters of almost everything we all hold dear in the United States, also approves of and is complicit with this drastic change.
The Republican Party has died and been resurrected as the complete opposite of what it once purported to be. It has decided that racism, misogyny, antisemitism, Calvinistic dominionism, and more, which it always quietly espoused, should be the law of the land, enforceable by militias of armed thugs and by a tyrannical executive branch. Intimidation and threats have replaced rhetoric and the rule of law for what the Republican Party has now become.
Why has this happened? Because the Republican Party is now a minority party, and can only maintain power through manipulation of elections, intimidation, and threats. Now, it embraces Putin and tyranny, because it cannot survive without using those tools.
We Must Defeat Republicans!
We have another opportunity to put the Republican Party back in its place as an ugly minority party this November. If we do not take that opportunity and run with it, we might not have another chance any time soon. With unlimited power, the Republicans will quash any efforts to rein it in, using violence and intimidation that are supported by our own government.
Think long and hard before stepping away from the responsibility to hold the Republicans in check. Instead step out and recruit people to vote for their own best interests - even those who are too apathetic to take action on their on and vote. Take the opportunity and win, or miss that opportunity and suffer for it. Those are your choices.
