I think it was three stupid meth heads who had warrants out on them, they got high and swerved a bit. They probably had hunting rifles or some kind of gun in the truck which the police instantly turned into a sniper rifle. Free publicity for bonehead. from his mug shot this Thaylin guy didn't look aware enough to plot anything and with his mop of hair he was no skin head.

There was a guy staying at the same hotel as Nancy Pelosi. He checked in with a cased, unloaded rifle that he allegedly brought to Denver with him to get some gunsmithing work performed on it. He also had two pistols in the case. (I didn't read the status of the pistols). He was arrested. I guess the 2nd Amendment doesn't apply when there are high ranking officials present, nor do Federal Transportation laws concerning firearms.
DENVER — House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was briefly evacuated from her downtown Denver hotel on Saturday when a man carrying two hunting rifles and two pistols tried to check in to the hotel.
Secret Service spokesman Malcolm Wiley said 29-year-old Joseph Calanchini of Pinedale, Wyo., faces a charge of unlawful carrying of a weapon after police officers at the Grand Hyatt hotel noticed him carrying a rifle-type case while checking in. Calanchini did not have a concealed weapons permit, said Lance Clem, spokesman for the Colorado Department of Public Safety.
Wiley said authorities were not releasing information about whether the weapons were loaded because the case remained under investigation. Wiley said the charge is the same whether the weapons were loaded or unloaded.
Pelosi and other guests briefly evacuated the hotel but were never in danger, Pelosi spokesman Brendan Daly said.
Calanchini told KUSA-TV it was bad timing.
“I didn’t even know the DNC was in town. I don’t watch the news,†Calanchini told the station from jail before he was released on $10,000 bond. “If I had known, I would have done things differently. It was a simple mistake.â€
Calanchini told KUSA he had the weapons because he was getting ready for a hunting trip Aug. 28.
Authorities were investigating a report that Calanchini was in town on business and had had the weapons worked upon to prepare for the trip.
“The speaker was never in any danger and she appreciates the quick and professional response of the police,†said Daly.

But then neither was the Somali Muslim found dead in a Denver hotel room 10 days ago with over a pound of CYANIDE in his possession. He JUST HAPPENED to have chosen that particulat hotel, two blocks from the Pepsi Center, to commit suicide.

Something fishy there. I do a lot of long range shooting, 1000+ yard shots with a .308. I sight my scopes at 100 yards because that is the reference for the bullet drop compensators. I don't know any long range shooters who sight in at 750 yards.
When I went to the Divisons Sniper School at Ft Campbell,we zeroed our XM-21s at 300 meters using the ART II scopes.
