Are you ready for this week’s absurdity? Here’s our Friday roll-up of the most ridiculous stories from around the world that are threats to your liberty, your finances, and your prosperity.

College newspaper will no longer report “triggering” news

Northwestern is one of the finest universities in the world and is particularly renowned for its journalism school.

The Daily Northwestern student paper, staffed by these aspiring journalists, recently apologized for covering a “traumatic” event on campus.

Sounds like it is from The Onion, except it is true.

Let's just stop reporting news.  :mental:

Who defines what is "triggering"?

for a native southern california guy like me, reading a weather report forecasting sub zero degree temperatures and several feet of snow is triggering.

It'll just have to be a blank website and newspaper considering anything and everything could trigger these emotional toddlers.

It's a college newspaper, not a real one.  Nobody expects them to print real news, just train journalism students, put out social and administration announcements, and cover their own college's public events.

It's a college newspaper, not a real one.  Nobody expects them to print real news, just train journalism students, put out social and administration announcements, and cover their own college's public events.

The problem is if this is the training they are getting in college, I fear this snowflake mentality will infect and eventually overtake the real press.
