So (don't all good :bouncy: s begin with "So"?) a Trump-Hating Prog FB friend posted an article from Mother Jones Mag calling out President Trump for not attending the climate summit yesterday at the UN. Since I had seen a video clip of the Swedish Twit (spelling that carefully) scowling as President Trump chanced to walk by her ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6i_rgFSNPFw ), I knew Trump had been at the UN yesterday. So I looked into what Trump had done there, and responded to my FB Friend thus:
President Trump met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday and then at the UN on Monday met with Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, Polish President Andrzej Duda, Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien-Loong, President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi of Egypt, and New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern. He also spoke at a conference on religious freedom. All and any of those are far more important than listening to a tantrum from Sweden's Veruca Salt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRTkCHE1sS4
I could have explained the various issues Trump is likely to have discussed with that collection of world leaders, but decided to see if the FB Friend would ignorantly claim that none of those are particularly important.
Using this post as a sort of scratch paper against FB Friend taking that bait:
* Tensions between India and Pakistan are not very short of war;
* Poland is becoming a base for US forces in EuroLand to deter Russian aggression (this FB Friend still buys the Trump-Russia Collusion narrative, so that would be a double in-your politics' face, :-) );
* Singapore and New Zealand are key Allies in the Western Pacific;
* Egypt, India, and Pakistan are all hotbeds of religious persecution against Christians and - in India's case - Muslims.

The sheer volume of talks between global leaders trumps the little twit (pun fully intended).
Actually, the kid isn't to blame. She doesn't know that she doesn't know. A self-admitted autistic/Asperger's Syndrome patient, she's not exactly firing on all cylinders anyway - except that she can definitely march to the drumbeat of those who have inoculated her against common sense.
It's her handlers, vis a vis her parents, who need to be hogtied and placed in the public stocks for ridicule. And then jailed for child abuse.

Euph, link? That info will come in handy.

I can tell she does answer to someone.

Not sure you can call People magazine a firm source, but here you go. The article appears to snag a tweet by the deranged girl in which she admits her illness:

I do not do Twitter, so I cannot confirm that Thunberg posted that tweet.
