We have to tell them, and then they can remove them.

They have no control over which ads are shown, I believe.

And I think if you stay logged in, you'll never see them. That's been my experience, anyway.

You can't post without being logged in though...

Whether Gargle or some other entity, the algorithm that selects what ads people see on their favorite news/commentary websites sense interest in topics but not POVs. Is, "Why am I seeing ads for ______?!" going to be a monthly thread topic over on DU? That could get interesting as we enter the heart of the Silly Season.
