These are the operational divisions of the US House Segeant At Arms
From house.gov:
The following divisions comprise the Office of the Sergeant at Arms:
Immediate Office/Member Support
Protocol and Chamber Operations
House Garages & Parking Security
Information Services
Identification Services
Police Services/Law Enforcement
House Security
Emergency Management
The emphasis on "Police Services/Law Enforcement" is mine.
Police services and law enforcement. As in arrest powers? I know they have only a very rudimentary jail with one or two cells. I bet they can contract with some other system to provide the ability for more long term detention. You know, for things like ignoring subpoenas.
Is this even close to possible?
:whatever:
In Nazi Germany, the Kripo was the criminal police department for the entire Reich.

3. They have the authority. The power/practical ability to actally do it
is a different thing. It's not likely Capitol Police can successfully arrest and jail a man under the 24-hour protection of a security detail or anyone working in the White House.
i think the Democrat party should start 'arresting and detaining' members of the other political party when they don't get what they want. It will really help the political process along...

:rotf: Stinker must be drinking the dregs of his :stoner: water. :rotf:
Maybe some DU-onlurker who chances to see think could let Stinker know. Nadler's shtick is all about looking like he'll do something, until he defeats his AOC-oid primary challenger. It's all "sound and fury, signifying nothing".

Is that you Louise Mensch?
Stinky sounds just as crazy and by the way, you are an internet laughing stock and you smell bad Stinky.

Well Kripo is the Kriminal Polizei, true, but it's still the felony cops in Germany today, 'cause it's basically the same thing as detectives in a US PD. Of course in Nazi Germany in wartime there were a lot more things that were felonies than in normal times and places. What Stinky wants is actually more like the Gestapo or the Stasi.
