As Democrats gather, liberal positions gaining in popularity (http://www.mcclatchydc.com/227/story/50009.html)
As they meet for their national convention Monday through Thursday, Democrats are poised to shift their party's course — and the country's.
They're turning to the left — deeply against the war in Iraq, ready to use tax policy to take from the rich and give to the poor and middle class, and growing hungry, after years of centrist politics, for big-government solutions, such as a health-care overhaul, to steer the nation through a time of sweeping economic change.
They are, in short, more liberal than at any time in a generation and eager to end the Reagan era, which dominated not just the other party, but also their own, for nearly three decades.
"Every generation . . . there are changes in people's relationship with government," said Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y. This, he said, is such a time.

Hey everyone...
I am new here but have to weigh in on this one... :fuelfire:
This is the same crap we have heard since they lost the white house in 04...goes along the same lines as "tell a big enough lie and everyone will believe it"....
The left is convinced of thier own superiority due to the propaganda pumped out in the last four years in an attempt to convince the rest of the country thier cause is gaining traction. But the truth is they are no more relavent now than they were 4 years ago, and as we found out in the 04 election the overwhelming number of voters are in the silent majority, you know ...the ones you dont hear from until election day,the ones out there working for a living and paying taxes to support these moonbat liberal pussies who have nothing better to do than sit on thier ass and complain about how bad they have it...change is coming?...yeah right....
