In this episode, we have a crying communist wanting to know who is going to make sure he gets everything he wants and needs.

Seriously all I want is a fair chance.......who is going to give me and my family that???
a chance to take a vacation, the chance to send my kids (2) to college, a chance to pay for a possible medical problem that won’t take my savings for my kids to go to college to pay for. A chance to live a life where we arn’t worried all the time about HOW ARE WE GOING TO PAY FOR IT, what ever the hell IT is.
Now, I understand the love and attachment to ones pets, but this one has spent 6 grand on medical bills for a pet...

1. I feel ya. We're luckier than most, but in the past year have racked up
More than $6k in vet bills and counting for just one pet with cancer, and it is stressful (on top of worrying about the pet). Everything has been going up except pay.
and of course, the obligatory "rich people aren't giving us enough of their wealth" post

2. Hugs-- it's just so unfair to work so hard and still be so financially insecure.
And another billionaire crying about having to pay a pittance more of his enormous wealth can't make you feel much better.
I'm curious... how many of you have looked at your neighbor, or anyone else for that matter, and steamed with fury that they are successful and you aren't?
I do pretty well for my family, but I'm most certainly not well off by any means. Most people in my neighborhood appear to be doing far better than I am financially... but I can't remember a single time I wasn't simply thankful to God for giving my family what we do have. I can't understand how or why I would look at those who are better off than myself and be pissed that they weren't giving me some of it. The time in my early adult life when income wasn't sufficient, I didn't get angry and demand a cut from other people, I just found a way to do it myself... and I'm not smarter than the average Joe.
I really don't understand that mindset. It completely baffles me

Living a life where you are "not worried all the time about" paying for the stuff you need or want. I think that is called "working for a living" and "living within your means." Imagine that!

You had a chance. Most everyone starts on an even playing field with people having their strengths and weaknesses. The goal is to hone your strengths and strengthen your weaknesses and make good decisions. If you failed to do any of these things then you may have blown your chances for a successful life. It is called "Playing the cards you're dealt." It seems you folded early and are blaming the dealer for your crummy outcome.

Great points. I'll add, try to become very good at more than one marketable skill. The more options one has, it increases the likelihood of success.

I have to ask, who is going to pay for my new Ferrari, and the auto insurance that is killing me every month. Now don't get me started on the yacht payments. They are back breakers. Oh and the two new beach houses. Look that is all I'm asking for... Well I do have my eye on that new G5 and I can't imagine me wanting to pay for the JP4 and the carbon credits to make me feel good when I go jetting about?

My sentiments, exactly.
don't get me wrong, if it happened to my dog, I'd be torn up man. But, if I'm spending 6 grand on a pet, that pet is in all likelihood ready to check out and suffering already. Hard to put a number on it, and if I had money to burn the answer would be different, but in the end you gotta suck it up and face realities... and that does not include spending 6 grand of my kids college money on my dying dog.

Well, it's not like the vet tells you the final cost up front . . . It's one thing after another. $100 here, $200 there, need to refer you to a specialist, need to do an overnight observation . Let's put her on this medication. Let's try this, let's try that. The next thing you know, it has racked up.
Been there, done that.
