If you are from a red state, do you think differently than

most here about a nominee?

I think I just realized that I do. Like you may like someone personally but deep inside, given your experience with the people who surround you, you just know they would not win your state no matter how hard we work.

Sad fact sexism and racism still exist. I see it here in deep red part of Texas all the time. Hopeful for the next generation.

Having lived in a bright blue part of Illinois, my politics fit in more with some suburban pockets and downstate.  Big whoop, DUmmies love to stereotype don't they?

Sad fact sexism, homophobia, transphobia, nationalism, white privilege, islamaphobia, facism and racism still exist in our party. I see it here in deep red part of Texas all the time. Hopeful for the next generationw we elect more conservatives to clean up the mess we made..

I think the 2020 demofascist primary campaign for president is going to be more fun than Bernie the Red versus Hillary the Traitor in 2016.

That's it. Couldn't possibly be their politics someone disagrees with.

But let's all thank the primitive for providing us additional insights into the musings of the galactically stupid.

Well, the last one was really more like a clown scooter for the Dems, since Hitlery and the aging Commie were the only two serious candidates for them, the rest were just vanity players with no actual following.

If Republicans do not use the present MESS in Venezuela in coast-to-coast ads showing the TRUE result of Socialism/Communism (i.e. bankruptcy, lawlessness, and starvation) and use that to anoint Sanders, Ocasio-Cortez, Harris, and all the other morons pushing for Socialism in America, then they are beyond hopeless.

The media of course will ignore Venezuela as much as possible, or spin it as Socialism incorrectly implemented (as our president has pointed out, Venezuela did indeed have Socialism correctly implemented, which is why it is a basket case now).

A tangential point:

Keep in mind that Thursday will be the 51st anniversary of the Communist "Tet Offensive" in Vietnam, a battle which in fact was a huge defeat for them, after the initial surprise attacks.  Walter Cronkite of CBS and other Leftist reporters on all three networks were able to sell the American people on the BIG LIE that it was a huge defeat for the United States.

The United States Marines and the other armed services were shocked by the news that they had lost that battle, for it sure seemed that they had won!  Victor Davis Hanson has written much about the Tet Offensive, and has this to say:

Quote

(The North) Vietnamese often turned to American academics, religious figures, and intellectuals in attempts to nullify the American power which their own army could not. “60 Minutes” and The New York Times could do what Pravda and the Daily World could not: convince the American people that the war was unwinnable and unjust. To the North Vietnamese, the loud-speaking, confusing, and fractious Americans–William F. Buckleys and Jane Fondas alike–were not so much evil or good as insidious.

While the media's influence did not steal victory by itself, it certainly was a factor in America's - Nixon's - desire to leave without a clear victory.

In DUmmieland, using common sense and not ignoring reality is sexism and racism.

I'm not sure that OP had a

Or what it was. I suppose living in an Type X state would affect how one views the chances of a Type Y candidate. And I suppose having Type Y ideas while living in a Type X area would affect how one views people of Type X ideas. Hating people with Type X ideas is usually easier if one isn't forced to see them more or less daily as real people by living among them.
