It seems a reasonable notion that the majority of white Mississippians are racists

Most are probably not KKK racists, but sure prefer not to mingle except in that way where the nanny is "part of the family" thing we all know.

Thus spaketh the guy whose much younger debutante trophy wife thinks black people are "icky," and shies away from them.

1. Coastal MS is somewhat better. But coastal people normally are.

I don't want to bother going back to check, but I watched the returns on the New York Times site, which displayed a map showing the counties of Mississippi.

If memory serves me correctly, the ones at the bottom of the state were pretty solidly.....red.

You know, there was a news story earlier today about some nooses being discovered in the Mississippi state capitol.

I haven't seen anything about it, though, since after the story first broke; it's like the media's trying to cover it up.

I suspect it was a clumsy attempt by Demos to make Republicans look bad, to make it look like we did it.

There's a problem with that, though; most Republicans wouldn't recognize a noose if it were swinging right in front of our faces, while Demos not only know what nooses are, but also how to use them.

My gawd.

Actually they were.

I wonder why ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, &c., &., &c. aren't reporting on this.

I remembered correctly; it appears the coastal counties voted red.

Can anyone find the link over at DU where they're calling all the people of Utah racists and misogynists.  I know it has to be over there somewhere, but I can't seem to find it.

Thanks in advance.

From Ptarmy's link, 05:36:

Election results
Percent   Candidate   Party   Votes   Winner

53.9%   Cindy Hyde-Smith*   GOP   474,471   ✓
46.1%   Mike Espy                 Dem   405,486

99.1% of precincts reporting (1,781/1,797) *Incumbent

879,957 total votes

As soon as I saw Stinker whining about racism and asking where racists live in MS I was pretty sure Cindy Hyde-Smith had won.

It's no landslide, but the margin of victory is great enough that I think the MSM stories that Hyde-Smith might lose were depress-the-R-vote, boost-the-D-vote hype.

It seems a reasonable notion that the majority of white Mississippians are racists

using the DUmmies logic, the minority of Mississippians who didn't vote for Hyde-Smith are sexist.

Determining who the racists are is very simple there, Mike. If people of a particular race vote 85%+ for the person who is the same race as they are, then chances are they're the racists.

Being a long-time observer of the sparkling old dude, it's always impressed me how he manages to compensate for his grand-piano-playing much-younger trophy wife's negrophobia with his corresponding negrophilia.

Citibank is calling, Stinky.  The race card is overdrawn for the 1,732rd time you whiny a-hole.
