Grey yucko and overcast here today.
Mancub is going to a birfday party today and Eldest has her two hour vollyball practice this afternoon so I may actually have the house all to myself for some brief glorious time.
Housework, groc shoppin and misc. hi jinks in store.
Anybody gots weekend plans worth noting?
My wife is traveling this weekend and I go On Call at 6pm. :p

Hot, hazy and humid here...no rain til mid week....Fay is apparently not coming to visit the TN Valley. :(
Have 3 driveby shootings to do today, 2 reports and shopping for a wedding shower that my partner and I are catering tomorrow afternoon.
Have to make 2 pans of lemon squares this afternoon, for tomorrow and make sure my sweet of heart stays out of them. :nunchuck:
Date night tonight! :naughty:
-
I'm at work, but so far not much actual work has been accomplished.
I worked late on Wednesday and Thursday so I can leave early today. I think the boss is wanting to take me and another office girl to Happy Hour today. w00t! Margaritas!
-
Beautiful day here, Sunny and warm, but not too hot. Baseball pracitce and 3rd grade orientation thingy tonight.
Opening ceremonies for Football tomorrow morning at 8, then the first game at 9! Also a baseball game at 1.
On Sunday we are gonna try to get together with another family for a last hurrah for the summer, grill and swim and play for the afternoon.
-
Beautiful sunny and 89deg day planned for today (and only a half day at work - even better). Sunny and 86 tomorrow, and we're taking the sailboat out on the lake for sailing and assorted swim call activities.
-
Tired. Overslept. Grumpy. Had computer trouble first thing this morning. Hotter than hell outside.
Grr...
Here's to Friday! :-)

Well, my car is apparently OK! The tire did not actually have a leak, which I thought was odd, given that my car dropped from 31 psi (after I filled it up last night) to 25 psi overnight. Only two scenarios I can think of: tire gauge is defective, or "someone" (*cough* illegal resident *cough* ) may have been messing with the car.
I'll get another tire gauge, and if the same problem persists, I'll go for a second opinion, I guess.
-
Cloudless and 80 degrees today--about as perfect as it gets.
Since it hasn't rained for 3 days now (miracle of miracles!) I get to mow the lawn tomorrow morning before it gets too warm, then do laundry/clean house in anticipation of BBQ and beer the rest of the weekend.

Neighborhood party. I plan to reek a little havoc with the latest neighborette who all the local haus fraus love to hate(she's gorgeous, blond, and single and I love that she makes all the local ladies nervous :evillaugh:). anyway, she goes to my gym too and I really enjoy her. I'm going to bake a few specialties to take over too. It will be controlled havoc since my kids and hers will be there too. I think just showing up should do it. :evillaugh:
Other than that, going to get some paint and get some of that done before the fall gets here. No school for me for a month so I'm going to make the most of it.

Taking the Motorcycle Safety Foundation course all weekend. It's sunny and hotter'n hell now, but rumor has it it's going to come a turd-floater this weekend.
-
It'll cool off once you start rolling. :)
I haven't done any MSF training, but my first motorcycle was a dirtbike. I figured if I can avoid trees and rocks at 40mph, I should be okay on the road.

I am stuck at the Richmond Airport -- ORD is on a ground hold.
I will be lucky to get home by 1:00 AM PDT.
And hussein still won't have announced his pick by then,

How does that happen?

last kid-free weekend!! Whoo hoo! I plan on sleeping in and getting caught up on my reading. Mr. Belle will be making breakfast. I still have to tell him which means, 'put your shoes on, we're going to the diner'.

I shall be relaxing (ie gardening/housework/actual paid work :() I had all sorts of stuff planned for the weekend then an emergency at work put paid to most of it. Still I've had a super cultural week I went to see the Vilhelm Hammershoi exhibition:

and also to an exhibition of Orientalist paintings (http://www.tate.org.uk/britain/exhibitions/britishorientalistpainting/default.shtm)

Ooh, that caught my eye, bijou, even before I read what you wrote about it. :cheersmate:

Tantal, I disagree. The last few days with all the rain and not hitting 90 was great. Today was horrible as usual though.
BTW, my happy hour started at 3:30 pm. :-) I love Margaritaville. :-) :-) :-) :-)

ARGH! I just ran over a :censored: liquor bottle in the parking lot at work. I'm sure the damage will be noticeable in the morning. :bawl:
I wish I had some beer right now (but campus police are cracking down on beer in dorms big time). Right now, I'll just enjoy a Cherry Coke.

You have the warranty on your tire. Just say it was a pot hole. :)

I would go back to the dealership shop, but it's closed on the weekends. :( I'm trying to think of where else I can go, probably that local tire place.

Since you have the warranty, drive on the doughnut if you have to. The JM&A warranty will cover a brand new tire. :)
Is that the only Mazda dealership in the area? (I'm used to here where 1 they're open at least on Saturdays and 2 there are many to chose from)
The thing is, I know, that Road Hazard won't cover if you hit a curb, but they'll cover a pot hole. LOL! Again, you could always just stick a nail in the tire if you're worried. LOL

I think there is Key Mazda, in Hardeeville, SC. They are open at 8 am until 3 pm tomorrow, which works for me. But they're 40 miles away. I worry I might get stranded somewhere along the way. :(
I'll definitely try the pot hole angle though. :uhsure: :lmao:

Is that a new car? I bought my car new and got 24/7 roadside assistance free for the first 5 years (part of the manufacturer's bumper-to-bumper warranty).

Did you not get a free Road Side Assistance for so many years/miles? Hum, I really say try it. 40 miles isn't too far really. :)

I do have AAA, and the warranty shows that I have towing coverage (refers only to mechanical breakdowns, so I wonder if that might not cover my situation), so I hope I'm okay. Just need to find my AAA card and have that and the phone number ready.

My VW came with 4 years Roadside Assistance. Did your Mazda not have that? It would include towing to the nearest dealership.

I'm digging through warranty papers again. The print is so tiny, I'm having a hard time focusing on it, trying to read every word. :(

Well crap, I don't have it. :( I could have sworn that since I got the Platinum coverage, that the Road Hazard was a part of it. Apparently not. The box for it isn't checked off. :thatsright:
Edit: I guess AAA is my only hope for now.
