Title: Holy. Cats.
Post by: asdf2231 on August 21, 2008, 11:00:27 PM
Went to a Brazilian steak house with the family tonight.

Dear Sweet Merciful Zeus.

Everything was perfect, from the bottle of wine we let the wine steward pick out to the last bite of the dessert sampler.

They had an absolutely freaking amazing side bar with about 20 different salads, nuts, dates, 8 different cheeses, sautéed mushrooms and vidalia onions, fresh veggies that were just this side of raw, mmmm!

And they circulated with glazed duck, asian fillet, roasted sirloin, lamb, marinated flank steak and bar-b-qued chicken.

I think the Mancub tucked away a pound of various seared animal tonight.

The dessert sampler was flan with blue berries, key lime cheese cake, cinnamon chocolate mousse in a dark chocolate clamshell, coconut banana with whipped cream on cheesecake crust and suger cookies drizzled with hot butterscotch rum sauce and covered in mixed berries.

We got out of there for less than $200 which was unexpected but welcome.  I figured when we laid the wine selection on the steward that we were looking at a bite in the rear, but he selected a really killer red for about 25$.

Happiness and joy in casa asdf2231 tonight! :)

It sounds like you had an amazing dining experience.  Everything you describe sounds wonderful.

I think I'm jealous.  We went to Waffle House.  Well, they do have kick-ass coffee (bottomless cup!).  We got out for 18 bucks including $3 tip.

(We had the house whine - the "Oh, my feet hurt" from the waitress)

I love churrascarrias!

But I can't put it away like I used to.

But if I was invited by one of our senior folk, I would do it!

Cats are tasty.  :p

I'm glad you had a good time.  $200 is pretty cheap for a fambly dinner.

We don't eat like this all the time, lol.

Tonight was "Date Night" and since Brett has been working all week and is leaving for the weekend for business I decided to take the kids with us so we could get a little more family time.

I'm die right now my tummy is so happy.

I managed to contribute to a $1000 tab for eight people on my birthday a few years ago.

The crab cakes were heavenly.

I was at a "go live" party a few years ago where the Managing Director and Business Director wanted to one up each other.  There were 9 of us and the total was $5,000.

Ahh, good times.

It was more of a rentabox.  He needed someplace to grow his zygotes.

Now that they've hatched I am sure he is back safely in the territory of the c**k where things are less scary and oogy for him.

(DUmp envy/guilt trip mode/on)Do you realize how many homeless people you could have fed with $200?(DUmp envy/guilt trip mode/off)

...and nevermind the long list of working class people who earned a portion of their livlihood from your meal, they don't count........Now I'm hungry ......again..... :-)

I ate at the Fogo de Chão in Atlanta about five years ago:

I have never seen a salad/side bar that big.
The food was amazing - what you said.
