Why do military people all seem to mispronounce "Eye-rack"?
Advertisements [?]
It seems like people who've been there would pronounce it correctly, but I'm listening to yet another military guy on KO, and he pronounces it Eye-rack, too. What's with that?
Why do DUmmies ask stupid, waste of time questions too?

1. Most of those guys seem to be southerners. Is it because of their accent?

3. Many mis prounounce it, and since there are more "Obama people"
than there are Hillary's - certainly on the media, I would say that Obama people mis pronounce it. Now, doesn't it sound silly?
Why not go outside, shout to the world that you hate Hillary, throw in Bill for good measure and find something else to worry about?
WTF??? :mental: :lmao:

way to dehumanize the people of Iraq. ???
Makes the real person seem more like a video game. Easier to kill that way.
Getting closer to the answers the op is hoping for.

9. The first letter in Arabic is Ayn, no perfect English equivalent
so it is expected that they will mis-pronounce it. I have been working on Arabic for about 4 years and I still can't come close to pronouncing Ayn consistently correct like a native speaker. Can get close now though.
On wikipedia's page they have an .ogg audio file of correct pronunciation:

Whoops. :-)
Not to be deterred though

11. Determined, deliberate ignorance. A form of arrogance.
Somewhat akin to the British pronunciation of "Kenya" as "Keenya", for instance. A not too subtle way of insulting "the natives".

I guess I'm guilty of dehumanizing some folks. Every time I try to pronounce "Democrat Underground" it comes out "Little Goon Shithole".

These are the people who derided the President for pronouncing Nuclear as "Nuklular."
What President pronounced it that way? Why, none other that jimmy carter, who trained as a NUKULAR SCIENTIST!!

They do it just to upset you.
Every single one of them.

And they seem to succeed, don't they? :-)

I knew they were trying to elude to them being dumb. I guess all the illegals that mispronounce words in English because of their language are dummies too. And have they ever been to an urban area? Hell, anyone in Massachusetts. Careful there DU, you might just paint that broad brush on some of your pet protected classes or segment of voters. :lmao:

Oh FFS!!!
How many liberal icons pronounce it that way too???
You know they are running out of arguments when they resort to this.

Eye-racks my brain and eye-racks my brain and still I can't fathom the DUmmie mind.

Why did JFK always seem to mispronounce "Cuba" as "Cuber?"
.

At first it was probably just a slam on John Kerry, who served in Vietnam. Then I think it just became habit or just part of the military vernacular.

I've lived in W. Texas all my life...spent time in Coastal Georgia and Southern Alabama and I have absolutely no problem with the correct pronunciation of Iraq or Iran for that matter.
These "journalists" that the DUmmies refer to aren't journalists at all they're mainly political hacs who got into the business because of the political stroke of their former capitol hill bosses.
