Ernst intends to vote for Kavanaugh -- 'we are innocent until proven guilty in this country'
WASHINGTON (AP) — Iowa Republican Sen. Joni Ernst said Tuesday that barring any new information from the FBI she intends to vote to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.
Ernst is among six Republican women in the Senate. She told "CBS This Morning" on Tuesday that California college professor Christine Blasey Ford's sexual assault allegation against Kavanaugh lacks corroboration.
Kavanaugh strongly denies the accusation.
President Donald Trump and Senate Republicans have instructed the FBI to investigate it and any other "credible allegations" against the nominee.

15. I prefer my Supreme Court justices not to be accused of sexual assault.
We should not let our standards fall to appease Republicans.

24. Reasonable doubt is enough to dismiss Kavanaugh. Confirmation is not a court case. Diff standard.

26. Can she really be that stupid?
He's not been charged with any crime. Sure, he's been accused, but he hasn't been charged.
So the presumption of innocence is a non sequitur.
He had a job interview, and I think all rational people are in agreement that if he were being interviewed for a job, say, at a law firm, or at a McDonald's, his behavior would have disqualified him from the outset. To say nothing of the fact that he lied repeatedly.

In their world all anyone would ever have to do is make an accusation and simply leave the room. There are no consequences to the accuser. Glad I don't live in their world.

Yep, and none of them supported this guy before that nut of a woman made her allegations. The smarter ones see the writing on the wall, just wait until later this week, they will have yet another level 5 meltdown.

Yes and it will be glorious. It'll be the FBI is complicit, 24/7. Or, we had no say and could only take was what given to us.

I prefer my Supreme Court justices not be CONVICTED of rape. There is a big difference asswipe.
If you guys get away with this you'll use it on every nominee we put up.

Precisely. Which is why we need a red tsunami AND some people behind the leaks/allegations and hiding the original letter to go to jail/expelled from the Senate.

The chart in this blog post (https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2018/10/visualize-this.php) illustrates why Ford does not want to release her therapist's notes, the way the time frame of her accusation has shifted correlated to events context.

something to keep in mind if there is ever Supreme Court justice nominated by a democrat president....the accusations are likely to be true.
Completing your thought.

And if the situation was reversed, the hypocrites at the DUmp would feel the same way as Senator Ernst.

Lets see I remember when the "Clenis" was accused of rape and all I heard from the leftards was "white trailer trash".
