Deaths of 3 Black Congresswomen
I'm sure there's no corelation between these incidents, but it does send the "irony meter " into over drive.
There have been six deaths of sitting members of Congress in the past 18 months, and with the death of Stephanie Tubbs Jones last night, three of them were African-American women. The others were Julia Carson of Indiana who died Dec. 15, 2007 and Juanita Millender-McDonald who died April 22, 2007.

1. They didn't get to live to see an African American or woman president. So close, too
Like maybe 2012 or 2016?

3. African-American women have a higher mortality rate from cardiovascular disease.
Higher than any other racial/ethnic group. What happened to Carson and Millende-McDonald?

4. Population wise, blacks get less adequate medical attention than whites.
Now, being a member of Congress one hopes that that gap does not exist, however how much medical care and prevention were they given prior to being elected?
Strokes often are a result of high blood pressure which, I believe, has higher incidence among the black population. And blood pressure is a silent killer. No symptoms but requires continuing maintenance.
I do hope that all of us - black or white - who have not seen a doctor for a long time, and who can afford it - should get a physical soon.

8. Where exactly did the OP use the word "conspiracy?"
He was pointing out an unusual pattern, not attributing anything nefarious to it.
Save the melodramatic flailing for someone worthy of it.

9. The Point Of The OP Was What Exactly?
The whole reason for posting it is to imply that something was 'amiss'. Obviously the fact these occurred naturally, randomly and under normal circumstances (which would be the sane and rational conclusion) didn't sit right with the OP for some odd reason.

I didn't hear about the other two. I figured this month's Celebrity Death Trifecta was Jones, Isaac Hayes, and Bernie Mack.

All black -- maybe there is something to this Black Death Conspiracy.
Add to the list Gene Upshaw -- ALSO BLACK.

Double trifecta? Three celebs and three Congresscritters.
