My new explanation on why Trump supporters still stand by him...
...it goes like this. Usually there is a mixed crowd. A few people who support Trump, more who detest Trump and some quiet folks where you don't know where they stand. I try to take the lead during a quiet time in the conversation. I then take a very smooth tone. Usually, I'm the most historically rooted person in the group.
So, I say, "Look, I can understand why people who voted for Trump continue to support him. I remember when I was just 8 years old and Jack Kennedy became the first Irish Catholic President. The pride of all the Irish Catholics was overwhelming. They never thought they would ever see the day that one of their own would occupy the highest position in America. And I remember the November night in 2008, when Barak Obama became the first African-American President. The pride of every African-American in seeing one of their own become President. An accomplishment few even dreamed that they would ever see. If you can understand how those people felt in the elections of one of their own, then you can understand that a racist-bigot would have the same fellings now that one of their own is President."
It always amazes me at what a high opinion of themselves they have. The word conceit, runs through my mind a lot while I read the DUmp.
The DUmmies are mostly eating this up. There are a few dissenters who want to point out that they know more than louis does. LOL

That condescending exposition happens to fit Hitlery supporters just as well, is not better.

22. One difference, and it's a biggie.
JFK and BHO were the first of their kinds. tRump is not the first racist bigot to become President. Woodrow Wilson came before him, and I suspect that many antebellum Presidents were, as well.
You sort of left our the biggest racist of them all: FDR.
Selective memory, blueballssoyboy?

Think he was a bigger racist than LBJ?

My new explanation on why Trump supporters still stand by him...
Evidently DU-moron louis c does not allow contact with actual Trump supporters to impede his fantasies. The real reasons for most (virtually all?) are two-fold:
1.) Trump said what he'd do, we voted for that, and he's done or is doing all of that (politicians keeping promises is strange, but I can adjust);
2.) After 3+ years of watching MSM lie after MSM lie after MSM lie after ... MSM lie fall apart in a day or a week or a month, we know every MSM Gotcha-of-the-Week will crumble when fact-checked or fuller facts become known. It's called pattern recognition, in this case the pattern of MSM Hate-Trump lies. And a pattern of DU-grade Progs getting all excited by new gotchas and then all deflated reality crushes the gotcha.

My impression is that Wilson was an active racist. The Federal Government was purged of black civil servants during his 8 years. He had "Birth of a Nation", in which the KKK was celebrated , screened in the White House.
LBJ seems to have been a racist, but saw value in buying blacks' votes through the appearance of compassion (whether he understood the degree to which social programs would cripple humans' spirits, I don't know).
FDR seems to have bowed to a key element in being elected and re-elected, the Democratic Solid South; whether FDR was more racist than the superiority complex many whites of the era shared, I do not know.

Well, "louis"...if you pedantically insinuated that I was a bigot/racist at a party which I was attending, you'd be pulling a martini glass out of your lying ass.

Psst... hey dummie. Come over here. I got a little secret for ya. You wore the racist meme out with obumbles and it has no effect now. The misogyny meme ain't working either. President Trump lives in your head waay worse than GW Bush ever did.
So it sucks to be you. My advice? Off yourself asap and save yourself the agony.
