About "flipping"-- the pumpkinfaced wankmaggot has it half right...
although he probably has no idea how it really works.
Back when capital punishment was a bigger battle than it is now, we used to talk a lot about "last in line" defendants. It's still a problem, although most of the time we don't execute them any more.
Here's the thing-- a horrible murder has been committed by several people. The triggerman/gang leader cuts a deal ratting out the others, or maybe a bigger crime or syndicate. He gets some jail time. The next guy down does the same.
And so it goes until they get to the last guy, maybe the getaway driver, who wasn't directly involved, but the prosecutor has to hang someone for the heinous crime, so the last guy, who has nothing to sell, gets the noose.
That part probably hasn't occurred to our great leader, but he is absolutely, positively wrong about flipping in general. In fact, our entire justice system could collapse without these deals.
