I dunno either. Many of the responses suggest "perspective rolls" refers to some shtick-bit on Rachel Madcow's show, but in typical DUpipo fashion they don't describe it. I guess if you didn't watch Madcow you aren't one of the DU-cognoscenti elite.

'Perspective rolls' sounds like a weird triangular pastry shaped like a long isosceles triangle, served with the short side toward the diner.  Maybe she means 'Roles.'
