I had a Trumper in my Uber yesterday
I usually don't talk about politics in my Uber but when someone goes out of their way to change the subject to Trump I can't help it.
Yesterday a guy got into my car and a story came on the radio about an Uber driver who was deactivated because he live streamed his Uber rides. I made a comment about that and he says:
Trumper: As well he should be. Michael Cohen has put himself in a lot of trouble by leaking that tape of Trump.
Me: Well, it probably shouldn't have been leaked, but if I was Trump's lawyer I would have been taking my conversations with him too.
Trumper:. Why's that?
Me: Well, he lies all the time and has been known to not pay his contractors.
Trumper:. When did he lie?. well, that's just to the media... (I'm thinking, this guy thinks it's okay to lie to the media!)
Me:. Well, I'm not going to get into that, but I even heard he didn't pay some of his lawyers, so yeah, I would be recording.
He didn't say much after that

Here's how it really went down:
I had a an actual paying fare in my Uber yesterday instead of one of my freeloading friends.
I usually don't like to take my '92 Toyota Tercel near downtown because the cops harass me about not having a bumper and the smoke coming from the exhaust...but I figured with the downpour outside I could get some Wall Street type to hop in and I'd get a fat tip for keeping him somewhat dry.
Yesterday a guy got into my car and a story came on the radio about an Uber driver who was deactivated because he live streamed his Uber rides. I made a comment about how cool that Uber drive was and how bogus it was the corporate overlords fired him and he says:
Trumper: As well he should be. People in our country have an expected right to privacy...it's part of our Constitution.
Me: Well, it probably shouldn't have been leaked, but it's the internet and in the interest of net neutrality he had every right to live stream.
Trumper:. Why's that?
Me: Well...
Trumper:. When did net "neutrality" apply to live streaming in public? I thought that net "neutrality" was about forcing a one size fits all style of Internet on people whether they want it or not?
Me:. Well, I'm not going to get into that, but I heard some of his fares were stiffing him, I would be recording.
Trumper: Uh-huh. If that were the case then he should have had a sign on his dash stating that riders were being recorded. There are state and federal laws against recording people without their knowledge.
Me: Ummm
I didn't say much after that...

Not bad although it was most likely a Subaru or a Prius. Just going with the odds here. :-)

I think they have a bouncy generator. Similar to the Hallmark Chick Flick movie script generator.
Part of it is malfunctioning in that the "so" start seems to be missing on obvious ones like this.

I have a preference for the golden oldies type of bouncy. I can't remember the last time I read a bouncy about poor people eating cat food--that's the kind I'd like to see more of.

Pretty stupid to discuss politics with somebody who gets to leave a review on their Uber ride. Don’t come crying to us when a low star rating results in you not being able to get enough passengers.
