Brett Kavanaugh clerked for Justice Kennedy and the two have been close friends ever since. Justice Kennedy swore in Kavanaugh to the Court of Appeals. So here’s my theory: Justice Kennedy wanted Kavanaugh to be his successor, and decided to retire only after assurances from Trump that he would pick Kavanaugh. The Administration’s leaks about the others supposedly under consideration were merely part of Trump’s reality show. It was going to be Kavanaugh all along.

 :thatsright: While Kennedy might have complimented Kavanaugh, as can be seen this list of possibilities (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Trump_Supreme_Court_candidates#Possible_nominees), Brett Kavanaugh was considered for the USSC seat for which Trump picked Gorsuch.

Taken at face value it's an exercise in Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon. And taken at its worst it shows how stupid the MSM and D Party were to expend oppo-research resources on other possibilities.But if you asked me who was more stupid, this DU-moron or the MSM, I would have to say that the inaptly named "no_hypocrisy" is stupider, not that the MSM are a high standard of comparison.

I really don’t get the outrage. Kennedy announced last year, basically, he would be retiring. Trump did the unthinkable, never been done before, when he was CANDIDATE Trump, and gave everyone a list of 25 possibilities for USSC.

Where’s the problem?  Nobody has ever been that transparent. If there was dirt to get the MSM has had all the time they needed.
