What About Civil Disobedience On A Massive Scale?
If there's no way we can use the laws and rules on the books to block this new Supreme Court nominee, what other means do we have? I was thinking about it yesterday, and the fact remains that only 30% of the public supports Trump, so that means there's A LOT more of us than there are of them. Certainly numbers must account for something. So I got to thinking, what is in OUR power, just as people, to do to stop this? Protests won't work; they'll just ignore them. We need something more.

The only thing I could come up with is civil disobedience on a scale heretofore unforeseen. I'm talking about things like organizing a massive gathering on the day of the vote and clogging the streets so the Senators can't get through to vote. Or having all the employees inside the building (janitors, maintenance workers, etc.) stand in front of the door so they can't get through. Or finding a way to cut off power and or access to the building. Just anything we can do to make it impossible for them to vote.

The reason why strikes work is because the power of the people is stronger than the people in power. We need to mobilize our "people power" advantage. Just because we're not "in power" doesn't mean we're powerless.

Some of these things may sound extreme, but we are quite literally seeing the demise of our country in real time. If Trump is allowed to put another RW shill on the Supreme Court, this country will become unrecognizable for at least another GENERATION. Marginalized people will lose ALL their rights. I'm telling you, it will be just a very short step until people like us are being rounded up on buses and taken to concentration camps. These are the things that CAN happen (and HAVE happened in other countries) when the judiciary acts as a rubber stamp for a despot. We simply cannot allow it to happen.

I'm all about doing things the right way and within the framework provided, etc., but the framework has failed us and we have to start thinking outside of the box or there will be no country left to save.

You go girl!!

They are all ready to pounce.

1. I'm ready to take to the streets or do what needs to be done

But we need a leader to stand up for us now.

Well maybe not.

3. I'm game.

I think this is the only thing that will work.

Who is going to organize this???

So much for that idea.

30% of the public supports Trump,

Then why are his approval ratings always around 50%?

I was thinking just yesterday, the DUmmies give President Trump a 30% support amongst the populace, even if it is that low (not likely) those 30% hold 95% of the gunz in private ownership. Those numbers gots to mean sumfen.

Dummies gonna go kick ass.... as long as others go first.   :lmao:  Stay woke dummies!

I suspect the only ass kicking that will occur is when the foot of President Trump meets the dem candidate's posterior for president in 2020.

Actually, it does.

But next time, start quoting from BraveHeart or one of the LOTR battle scenes.  That is the way your elders led from behind in the old days when they, too, were powerless and impotent.

In kim's case, I hope she does walk off her job as a teacher. Less sludge in some skulls full of much.
