Scabs who refuse to pay union dues should get NONE of the benefits afforded to those who do pay
The Latest: President Trump hails a Supreme Court ruling on union fees, asserting that it amounts to a "Big loss for the coffers of the Democrats!"
...no pay raises, no benefits negotiated by the union.

<<<Me, United Steel Workers, but as it was a long time ago, I disremember all the details.
I'm about as pro-union as Omaha Steve; I think that if a non-member gets benefits because of a union, the union should be allowed to assess something so as to defray some expenses of getting those benefits for that non-member.
However, since governmental employees are coddled enough as it is, I think public-sector unions shouldn't be allowed.
And as individuals, corporations, and other organizations are somewhat restricted on their political activities and donations, I think the same limitations should apply to unions too.

Still a member - I hate scabs
^^^yeah, yeah, yeah, the Jamaican perfesser Christine; it's not as if she ever worked a manual trade or something.

My late Mom was a teacher, and had to pay dues from her less-than-bountiful pay. There were no benefits for it, since there was no real pay bargaining, and she was on my Dad's insurance. All the dues did was feed the state teachers' association for their own enrichment and whatever causes they chose to support. Never been a fan of this forced contribution in the public sector, it basically just makes the taxpayer enrich the union and involuntarily support their chosen causes.

Definitions must be racist or homophobic or some other EVIL -ist or -ic. Because a "Scab" in union parlance is someone brought in as a replacement worker when a company's workers are out on strike. This decision has nothing to do with "Scabs". But as my signature says:
-
In this case the dues are contributions to the democrat party, whether the employees want to donate or not. the goobermint workers don't need a union anyway.
-
Civil unions don't count, Christine . . . :whistling:

Figured the rampant and constant liberal butthurt would commence.
Unions served a noble purpose 100 years ago and afterward. But in the last 30 ish years, it is Democrat money laundering.
Was jokingly wondering if Weeping Neckbeard Omaha Steve had literally and figuratively weighed in yet.

I just checked (about 12:30 p.m. central time, Wednesday), and no he hasn't.
However, I will be keeping my eye out; he's not an easy guy to miss.

This ruling actually has a better chance of killing him than the supposed glacially slow death sentance disease that he claims to have.
In my best Judge Smails voice " Well we're waiting!" :lmao:

"The court's conservative majority, Kagan said, was "weaponizing the First Amendment" to intervene in economic and regulatory policy."
So now the freedom to decide whether or not you want a union to represent you at your place of work is "weaponizing the First Amendment". The 4 liberal justices on the USSC are a bunch of Nazis, but I repeat myself.

I heard some of Kagan's dissent on radio. It was political :blah: :blah: unrelated to the laws in question. But I suppose defending organized extortion aided by government kind of requires a very thick smokescreen.

My last hospital had a nurses union, and during the big negotiations the unions priority wasn't getting nurses better pay, or better break relief, it was making sure we didn't have to all wear the same color scrubs :whatever: Personally, you pay me well, and I'll wear whatever color scrubs you want me to wear at work.
My current hospital isn't a union hospital and their pay rate is quite a bit better.

And now that Kennedy has retired, the Dummies are going to go so nuts they will make Maxine Waters sound as mature as the late Charles Krauthammer by comparison.

I think I'm going to suffer the same type of reaction that HFB mentioned in the Shoutbox. :whistling: :fuelfire:

What about warts, boils and hemorrhoids should they get cut of too? :-)

I'm sure the DUmbasses that belong to unions will happily pay their dues so no need to cut them off.
-
and now Justice Kennedy is retiring. :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:
I expect the dummies to throw him further under the bus now. What a big FU to the libbies by Kennedy!!!
And since harry reid decided to go nuclear and set the stage for the GOP to go nuclear, all President Trump has to do is nominate someone that 51 senators will voter for.
I expect the dems to throw up blockades and such in the hopes they get the senate in November... but I think the new justice will be seated by September. Heads are gonna explode on the left and they only got themselves and harry reid to blame.
We here warned the dummies that was gonna backfire on them and did they listen? Nope. Now they are hoist on their own petard. <<<<< this pleases me

The union leaders get rich by giving themselves high salaries while donating the working people's money to the democrats in trade for more state contracts.

Fine by me. Working since 1969 and never paid a due. ESAD.
Many years laying 12" cinder blocks the Union filth required two to lift and lay. ESAD again.
Yeah, now I do high tech work and pay "non union" help for heavy work. Duh you ignorant leftist.

I've worked here since 1978 and can accurately say that very few tech companies in Silicon Valley are unionized. Lockheed is, last I heard. I think AT&T though whether they have any union tech workers in the Valley, I don't know. That's about it. The Silicon Valley creators of the computers, routers, and servers DUpipo use are all non-union.
