2. Yah, he is. He's a quiet guy, but speaks up when he needs to.
And when he does, people listen to him. He's a great old guy!

Yeah, I've heard decades of comments Evangelical pastors make in recognition of Memorial Day and July 4th. Not one ever wandered off into irrelevancies like that. If he posted a local mainstream newspaper's account I'd think otherwise. But lacking that I think the story is MM's bigoted fiction, told with the confidence that there are enough anti-Christian bigots among DUpipo that no one will dare point out its implausibility.
Houstonguy34, please quote the first post in the DU threads you bring over. First posts usually include what the thread is about. Without it sometimes it's anybody's guess what in Hades they're yammering about.
