How in the hell is this election close?
I have seen ONE McCain bumpersticker and ONE McCain yard sign!!
I was chatting with our local Democrats at the Farmer's Market the other day and they were telling me that they have Republicans re-registering as Dems and Republicans telling them that they are voting for Obama.
Besides the 24% faithful, who in the hell is voting for this guy?!
It depends upon where one lives, I suppose.
And it depends upon how "important" it is to someone--a cultural, sociological thing--about proclaiming his political beliefs.
And it depends upon whether or not "Republicans" are pulling the driving primitive's friend's leg.
It just depends upon a lot of things.
Anyway, that's too complicated of a notion for the primitives to absorb.

6. yea, it seems that way
keep on voting against our best interests, really sucky.
Of course. franksolich fully intends to vote against the selfish interests of the primitives.

4. It's a tough road. Who would have ever voted for bush?
franksolich is deeply saddened George Bush isn't running for a third term, or at least that Richard Cheney isn't running to take the top job. But there's limits to human endurance, alas.

7. I truly believe there is some fraud going on here.
I agree, there is NO WAY even with the bump after this past weekend that there are more people at this point saying they'll vote for McCain over Obama.
Obama supporters are gung ho about their support of him, really all of them. No one I know is NOT excited about voting for Obama.
McCain has a small amount of the Repubes that are gung ho and pushing people to vote for him, but none of them are actually excited to vote for McCain. They can't stand McCain, they just tell people they need to vote for him to stop Obama.
It is 100% impossible that more American's are committed enough to say to a pollster that they will vote for McCain over Obama.
Does anyone have any good media contacts out there who can investigate this? Really, I think this is a backhanded Rovian way of trying to brainwash people into thinking they aren't the only ones not voting for Obama.
The rhino primitive forgets that an vote cast enthusiastically for Barry "Goldwater" Obama doesn't mean anything more, anything less, than a vote cast reluctantly for John McCain.

11. There's no way around it. A huge, huge chunk of the population is just plain stupid.
Which includes, one assumes, the 49.8% of the Democrats who voted for Barry "Goldwater" Obama; as there's lots of Democrats in America, that's a pretty large number.
The sparkling husband primitive tries to be cute, but fails. franksolich reads the mind of the sparkling husband primitive, and hasn't been wrong yet.

29. You'll see all sorts of reasons cited.
Only one is correct.
No one (me included) will say it.

Oh my.

This is another one of those "How could * win? Nobody I know voted for him." paradoxes.
Still funny after all these years. :-)

Blocked. You are sooooooo blocked.

Republicans, especially conservatives, as a whole, are not "bumper sticker & yard signs" types. We find such outward displays of emotions to be a bit childish and undignified. We do not, as a whole, need such visual validations to retain our trains of thought.
That's just the way it is. It's much like the differences between adults and children.

What do you mean, Undies? I've got Sununu and John Stephen for Congress signs on the road in front of my house!
Kinda goes along with working on their campaigns and stuff.

I said "as a whole". The Little Goons and their ilk think that the number of democrat bumper stickers and yard signs they see equals mass support at the expense of republicans. That just isn't the case.

You know, something just occurred to me.
In all the years I've had automobiles, and all the years I've lived at places with yards, I don't think I ever once had a bumper-sticker or yard-sign.
And all those years I've had automobiles, and all those years I've lived at places with yards, I never missed voting in a single primary or election, not even a minor one.
I think it has something to do with self-confidence; most people, including strangers, know where franksolich stands and how he's voting, and so I don't have to advertise it. It obviously has something to do with self-confidence, which is in deficit among the primitives on Skins's island.
-
besides, bumper stickers detract from the resale value of your car :rotf:

Self-confidence comes with maturity, which part of my point. I've never displayed any political signs in my yard or on my automobiles.
I was given a unique elephant-shaped sign for the Ronald Reagan campaign in 1980. I put it away then for safe keeping. My older son now has the sign. It is on his den wall.

Most of them don't do much for the preceived value of the driver's brain.
-
Go back to 2004 and you'll see the same DUmmie statements.
"Kerry is going to win by a landslide, I see Kerry yard signs all over the place and none for Bush".
Since the majority of the DUmmies live in liberal shit holes I wouldn't expect too many McCain yard signs.

that too. seems like more bumper stickers correlates to the appearance of less value of the driver's brain. once in a very great while I'll see a clever bumper sticker, but most are just DUmb

Ive never stuck a bumper sticker on anything. The only yard sign I have is one that advertises the house has a security system installed.

I agree. It's the same reason we don't do "protest marches." There's a lot more effective and efficient ways to get conservatives collective voices heard than carrying around some dumb cardboard sign. Libs need some type of outward emotional release to their concerns, and then they feel all better ..... for the moment.

And yet we're supposed to be the ones with bumper-sticker intellects and attention span.

In over forty years of car ownership I've never had a bumper sticker either. I have to admit though, I really liked those "W - Still The President" stickers. I still enjoy seeing them.
-
I sort of remember seeing a bunch of Ron Paul crap around as if putting signs up somehow would change his overall support level.
Just meant a state of delusion by those doing it is all.
-
I have a moonbat brother in law who has 4 or 5 union/democrat bumper stickers on it. He's the only one in my family who has anything other than those magnetic "support the troops" ribbons or school stickers, etc.
-
You know, there's a funny thing about campaign literature distributed in Nebraska, by candidates for office in Nebraska.
Campaign literature put out by Republican candidates--including bumper-stickers--always have that little tiny oval somewhere, boasting "printed by union labor," followed by the name of the local.
Campaign literature put out by Democrat candidates--including bumper-stickers--NEVER have that "printed by union labor" logo.
One wonders what's up with that.

Since the majority of the DUmmies live in liberal shit holes I wouldn't expect too many McCain yard signs.
And in truth it's even fewer than the few you would expect due to that truth, because in those liberal shit holes it's almost a guarantee that anyone with a McCain yard sign would have their property vandalized.
When I was living in Providence, RI, in an okay, mostly college students, neighborhood, my landlord asked me not to put up a sign for Steve Laffey (the gentleman who was running in the RI Republican primary against Lincoln "Traitorous Scumbag" Chaffee, even though said landlord was himself a Laffey supporter, because of past experience with politically-motivated vandalism by douchebag college liberals.

that pretty much sums it up; i dont put stickers on my car - it devalues the car.
i dont put yard signs in my yard cause, it looks trashy. my friends and neighbors who come to my home, know who I'm voting for, so there is no need for me to broadcast it to the rest of the world that doesnt know me.
if advertising is the only thing that clues them in to how people think, then no wonder the DUmmies are so marginalized in life.

which is also why 50% of the public in seattle doesnt put GOP stickers on their cars or in their yards; the children would destroy your property..
