They are going to steal another election people
They are setting the American people up to accept the results of November when another idiot mysteriously wins an election over an intelligent citizen.
They have been setting us up since Obama won the nomination with headlines and commentary asking why Obama does not have a much larger lead over McCain. They have as much as said that McCain is the inferior candidate with those types of questions. Why are they doing that? It is not to prepare the public for a McCain loss, that is for sure.
Week after week, the polls get closer and the commentary or headlines make it look like Obama is losing to McCain when even their numbers have him ahead if only be a few points.
Now the LA Times has the candidates at a Statistical Tie just a few days ahead of the Democratic Convention. Simply amazing how they work this propaganda. blahblahblahblech

12. In the "old days" these polls would be asked of 1200-1500 people
Now they seem to hit up twelve people walking through a mall and call it statistically relevant. Not to mention, as I was explaining to my 20 year old son last night, that young people (read: Obama voters) just don't get polled. The type of person likely to even have a land line, or stop to talk to a person with a clipboard at the mall, is not my 20 year old son, or any other twenty-something I've ever met. Or thirty-somethings. The people who participate in polls are notoriously older Americans, and that means heavily weighted toward McCain in the first place. Mix in Gallup/Rasmussen et al and their admitted weighting toward the GOP, and you can see how the polls become quickly meaningless.
Pedro Picasso however fails to explain why, when polls show a Democrat leading, the polls are valid.
And now, the new Pedroan conspiracy theory, that the Republicans DON'T want to win, and why:

11. I think your paranoia is understandable, but your assertions are wrong
First of all, "they" don't WANT the White House right now. BushCo's legal machinations -- signing statements, FISA bill, etc, ad nauseam -- were about ensuring his policies and powers remain largely intact even after the GOP loses direct control of the government. He has hog-tied the next president in a way we're only just discovering.
And why don't they want the office again? Envision a locomotive steaming full speed towards a cliff as two engineers fight over who gets to take the next shift running the train. The smart guy will pretend he wants it just enough to be able to tell the boss he's a good company man -- but had to bail out just before the rig plummeted to it's demise. The more qualified engineer, while a brilliant railroad man, couldn't do a damn thing to stop the train once it passed the point of no return. Obama's that man. He's being set up to be the brave, proud engineer. And after the train goes down, he'll be blamed for taking it over the edge. The democrats, and a black democrat in particular, will be set up as the scape goats as the still-republican-owned media asks "How did things go so horribly wrong so fast?" They'll answer themselves "Must be those democrats!" And then Jeb will be ready to save the world in 2012/2016.
So then, why no just say it's going to be a huge victory and be done with it? That one's simple...because it's going to be a huge victory, and they know it. The networks don't show you the shocking conclusion to their tv shows in the promos, they just show the exciting stuff so you'll tune in -- only to find that Horatio catches the bad guy one more time, just as you knew he would. It's pure promotion. The cable news shows have minuscule audiences. They cannot afford to have a single one of us tune out. So they're staging a horse race.
It's really that simple, imho. Of course...I could be wrong.

They crack me up. In 2004 and I believe 2000, they said the polls proved that republicans stole the election. The POLLS showed their guy was up, the POLLS could not be wrong. The POLLS were more accurate than the actual votes.
Now the polls are not going their way -----> republicans are stealing the polls. :lmao:

I just feel sorry for his son. The kid deserved better.

well of course we are stealing the polls. The DUmmies kept catching on to how we were stealing the elections so this year we rigged the polls. :mental: :lmao:

They sure are trying to reassure each other of things they know are not true the last few days. :lmao:

Whew, for a minute there I thought LNP was talking about McCain vs. Obama, but when I saw that line, I realized it must be in reference to the Democrat Convention!

I suspect Pedro Picasso is angling for another mention on the most popular talk show on radio, which the last time bought the laughter and scorn of tens of millions upon Skins's island. I'm sure Pedro Picasso did considerable damage to the reputation of Skins's island, and if I were my fellow alum, I'd have Pedro Picasso on a "watch list," to be sure he doesn't do that again.

:cheersmate:exactly right, the dems are picking the untested, not very bright rookie, over the battle tested veteran who has already been hit with everything the republicans could throw at her and she still remained standing. I can only assume Karl Rove has the entire DNC being manipulated by his mind control ray. They had better break out the tin foil hats real soon.

Uh, I thought they said he vastly expanded the power of the presidency, how does that hog tie the next president?
