"BREAKING NEWS" ????? How about BROKEN News.
The news - especially cable news - and most especially MSNBC - has become a frightening caricature of what it once was.
Minute after minute, hour after hour, day after day, week after week, the story is THE SAME. The dissection of Trump's alleged misdeeds and the hundreds of side stories surrounding it.
Meanwhile, do we really know what else is going on? Where is news of the dismantling of the State Department? Where is the news of the mass exodus of skilled, dedicated, long serving career federal employees, leaving only toadies and some subpar careerists? Where is news of what the Democrats are REALLY doing in advance of the midterms, what their REALLY platform is?
Every time you see the RED BANNER screaming BREAKING NEWS at you, make the translation.
It is really BROKEN NEWS.
