Finally, an Adult speaks. :yahoo:
(Video At Link)
“We are here for an education and not a political protest.” That’s is the message from Needville ISD Superintendent Curtis Rhodes Tuesday in response to a call by political groups for students to walk out of class to protest gun issues in the wake of the Florida school shooting.
In a post on Facebook, Rhodes said, “A school is a place to learn and grow educationally, emotionally and morally. A disruption will not be tolerated.”
[snip]Addressing the planned possible protests directly Rhodes said, “There is a ‘movement’ attempting to stage walkouts/disruptions of the school through social media and/or other media outlets. Please be advised that the Needville ISD will not allow a student demonstration during school hours for any type of protest or awareness!!”
Rhodes said that — regardless of how many kids participate — nobody will escape discipline “no matter if it is one, 50, or 500 students involved.”

Being shot at doesn’t make you an expert on ending gun violence :hyper:

Excellent! Most of these kids are just looking for an excuse to ditch class. And why should anyone listen to them? Few, if any, have a grasp of what they’re actually dealing with.

This is a tragedy, however there is a time and place for everything and walking out of school is not one of them. They are kids and need to be reminded that the adults are still in charge.

Most of those shit-bags will skip out just to skip out of school. Just like any other protest, you ask them why are you here? "Well, we um... there's some bad things happening. And um... we can't... um... have that?" or the over simplified reasoning "Guns are bad. They like... kill people..." You heard it here folks. Live from CNN. ****ers.

Exactly! Teenagers are very fickle.
