Watching Tom Perez on MSNBC
I wish instead of talking about his "fear of Russian influence in our 2018 election" he would articulate a comprehensive plan to make sure people aren't going to be disenfranchised.

He's a complete and utter failure but considering the ideology he's trying to sell, he's doing about as well as could be hoped for.

2. Tom Perez is not the person to lead the Democrats to victory
here we are 9+ months away from the midterm election and he doesn't have a plan...Wrong choice for the DNC
Don't worry, I'm sure it's nothing that can't be fixed with a shitload of money.

3. Sad to say I am afraid you are correct
He may have the best intentions and may be strong behind the scenes (at least I hope so). But he does not present as a strong voice of leadership. We need someone who can articulate a profound vision and communicate that in a manner that will reach all factions of the party.
Whatever faults he has, he must be strong behind the scenes. He's probably a great fundraiser.

Have to agree.
No biggie, your ideology sells itself.

8. I know we've been doing so horribly in all the special elections...
The democrats beat Roy Moore with a nobody candidate in a special election but it might get a little tricky trying to take down a bunch of republicans all at the same time in a midterm election.

6. I saw the interview
The DNC is doing a great deal on voter suppression but needs money to do so. I volunteer in this area. We had 200+ poll watchers out in Houston and stopped a great deal of voter suppression by the local idiots.
Here is link to the interview
They're all set. All they need is a little money. Shouldn't be a problem.
The Democratic National Committee entered the midterm elections year "dead broke," with a paltry $400,000 in party coffers, according to federal records.
The committee finished 2017 with roughly $6.5 million in available cash and about $6.1 million in debt, according to recently released Federal Election Commission filings. That leaves a balance of just $422,582 to start a year that will culminate in midterm elections, in which Democrats are hoping to recapture a majority in the House.
The DNC’s fundraising challenges have been well known since shortly after the 2016 elections, when President Trump defeated front-running Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. The committee has been rocked by turmoil, including the resignation of chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz amid leaked emails some say showed DNC brass "rigged" the primaries so Clinton would defeat Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Great! Go from one stupid losing narrative to another stupid losing narrative!
Perez was stuck with the hand he was dealt - a party broke and enthralled to the Clinton falling star. And ever since he's played it badly.
-
They definitely need someone much farther to the Left.

He had the one trait that was most important to the Democrats following the 2016 election: He wasn't white.

as long as voter id is not implemented nationwide there will be voter disenfranchisement because one fraudulent vote disenfranchises a legal and valid vote.

And they got just what they wanted, a rabid racist blaming mofo whities for everything. Unfortunately, most of the big donors to the DNC are those same mofo rich old white men.

I hear the Dims are gonna run on REPEALING the tax cuts.
Please do.

I August, we should set up some sort of pool as to how many seats the Dims will lose, if they decide to run on this.
O/U? I say 15 for starters.

Hopefully, all in the Senate

They're asking the wrong questions of good ol' Tom. The question they should be asking is; can he make sure the correct democratics get the answers to the debate questions so they can handpick their nominees, and still keep his hands clean?
Once they answer that they'll know if they have the right guy or not.
