I believe this qualifies for the fizzgig primitive's "gut bomb" stamp of approval:

A novice soup experiment
I bought some of the bear creek instant potato soup mix. My wife is out marching today and not sure how to make rue like she does with her soup. i Was going to go and March My friend even knitted me a pink hat but still dragging from chest cold. So I heat up the instant mix. Then to jazz it up I added.
Bag of frozen hash browns
Quite a bit of diced ham
Onion
Swiss cheese to thicken it
Lot of black pepper
So our Boys they love to cook they went and added instant potatoes they were like should we try it dad. Yea sure guys man did it get thick so we added whole milk to thin it out. But either we’re total guys that eats our own cooking or it really is not bad tasting.
Ok update the one son just added a bag of smoky bacon cheese.

13. Sounds wonderful to me. You guys cooked up some
good memories there too.
Btw, it's already fast and easy, with lots of cheese. You guys might have fun posting your recipe to AllRecipes.com. Probably should list a soup mix that's in most supermarkets, though. And if you cared to, adding bacon to an ingredients list that already has cheese can ultimately generate a pack of positive reviews.

14. We stumbled into it
We’re like hey it tastes almost like your moms.
Leaving that one alone
Thanks to a trusty mole, we got an update on how boog the chocolate lab and Teb's dog mistress are doing as well:

5. Sure sounds to me like the real benefit of the soup was the fun you and the boys had making it.
Did the dogs help out too? 😉

I’m glad he’s able to have fun like that while he’s laid off from that great union job. Damn, that was probably the hardest 3 month stretch of work he’d ever done.
Now for the rest of the story; TEB is a hostler. I seriously doubt he was laid off. More like they fired his drunk ass and that’s why he ‘quit’ drinking.
I just can’t say I’ve ever heard of a hostler being laid off. Especially not in a good economy and fuel prices this low.

Well, I'll give him that at least it sounds sort of edible, if not exactly great, at least there's nothing barfworthy in it. Sort of like the adult version of a kid stirring everything on his plate into a big pile.

TEB needs to add a pinch of brown #2.

TEB needs to add a pinch of brown #2.
Like every other DUmbass in the assylum, TEB has the Fecal Touch, which means it'll turn to brown #2 all on it's own, with no further help from TEB.

Sounds like a Leftovers Soup, the kind of culinary concoction that tends to get an ingredient too many.

No beans?? :whistling:
Sounds like puke soup to me. :puke:

Never heard of that.

a man employed to look after the horses of people staying at an inn.
So...sort of like Jake's job in Support Your Local Sheriff then:
Jake: Well, I did odd jobs... for one thing, I was a Orr holder at Madame Horse's, uh, horse holder at Madame Orr's House.

LOL! Well in the trucking field they are the guys who jockey the trailers on a lot for loading and unloading. I only know this because my dad drove a truck for 40 years. He’s also a retired teamster who is getting screwed on his UNION pension. Look that scam up!

Wasn't Tobers doing that at a job he got canned from a year or two ago?

He never did come right out and say it, but what he was describing sounded a lot like a hostling job.
Funny, until Fiddy looked it up I never knew there was any other definition, but it absolutely matches, AND makes perfect sense when you think of the Teamsters history. I thought it was cool.

>Swiss cheese to thicken it
Just another Emmental route to understanding. Thick, brain, you. Yes you too (yoto) and when you wake up you will either be an American or not (wake up?).
Have a nice reality.
