Title: How do I get my original screenname back?

My computer died a week or so ago,and when I got the new one in I tried multiple times to get my original password sent to me,and had no luck whatsoever. Tried atleast 4 times in one week,with no results

So I registered as sneakypete1 instead of sneakypete,with a new password as well as the number 1 behind my screen name.

How do I lose the number 1 and get my original screenname back? It's the only screen name I have ever used on political boards,and I want/need to keep it.
