Title: New movie: "2081"
Post by: jinxmchue on August 18, 2008, 08:35:53 AM
No, not another sequel to "2001."  (Although I think I remember "2081" being a sequel novel to "2001.")  This one's based on a short story by Kurt Vonnegut.  Looks fun:

The Arthur C. Clarke book was '2061'.  It wasn't very good.  :(

That movie does look interesting.  'Harrison Bergeron' is the Vonnegut story -- I thought it would be the name of the movie as well.

I can't really see how they'd make a feature-length film out of a story that was, what?  Twelve pages long?  But I'll definitely go see it when it comes out.
