Why aren't Gates and Manafort in jail?
Is Mueller playing them?
Otherwise I don't get it.
Of course you don't get it. You're nasty little fascist ****s...

2. Bail can be paid at 1/10th to get out
That's my understanding.
Way too low IMHO.
Why even charge them? Why don't you just shoot them on site and then tell everyone they were 'evil'.

8. Apparently they are basically under "house arrest". I do find it odd though...
that on one hand they are branded serious flight risks and on the other they were allowed to
turn themselves in instead of the FBI going out and arresting them before they might flee.

9. Manafort is rich, white, and connected.
3 reasons for the bail, and the means to pay the bail.

17. In jail, someone could be paid to kill them
to shut them up? At home they can be protected. Or maybe I watch too much T.V.

It's that pesky 8th Amendment (https://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/eighth_amendment):
Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.
Totally off-topic, can someone explain why those who want to abolish the death penalty invoke the 8th's prohibition of "cruel or unusual punishment" when the 14th Amendment (https://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/amendmentxiv) states that a criminal's life may be taken after "due process of law"?

Because they usually don't read past the 10th Amendment.
