Title: primitives of yore
Post by: franksolich on October 02, 2017, 04:37:50 PM
I'm working on my Gift to Humanity, a comprehensive history of Skins's island, 2001-2017.

Included in it, I hope to have a list of the 500 most prominent primitives, along with a biography of each one.

But the more I write, the more questions--and concern--I have about "where they are now."

One of them, about the truemud primitive, got addressed last week; he's hanging with cousin nadin now.

Does anyone, for example, know what ever happened to TheMagistrate?

And has anyone heard anything of retrowire lately?

That would be very interesting coach.

Deleting DUmmy. Haven't seen him around. I am sure he will pop back up. Buggy has not been around much either.

I'll say one thing about the magistrate... he could spell and more often than not he had some manners about him. Whether it was arrogance or politeness is not for me to decide.

Having said that... I hope the miserable SOB died a painful death. I always thought he was condescending  asshole.

frank, I think a lot of these primitives just burn out and fall off the map. They don't necessarily go anywhere, they just go.

There was some nut in the early days called MrBenchly, real anti-gun nut. One day he's on the island, the next he isn't. No rhyme or reason, just away he went.

It certainly doesn't hurt to ask, but a lot of them are just plain long gone.

I heard a rumor that The Magistrate was dead, not sure though. The deceased will be eligible, right?

I think Beth is still alive.

Most are mentally effed up so they like the limelight as either a sad sack or a bad ass.
Once they figure out they are regarded by normal people as subhuman mutts they crawl away.

Now that you mention it, I seem to recall the same thing.  Might be thinking about a different dummie.  After 15 years they all seem to run together anymore.   :cheersmate:

Any word from the former stripper who wishes she could clean the @#$% off all those $10 bills? Was she "Torchy the Witch"? Or "Subway Cat"?

I think the first one is a lot closer to the actual DUmmie.

I've not seen hide nor hair of the Deleting Dummie since he outed himself.  I suspect he might come creeping back, under a different name, though.  He'll be easy to spot.

The Magistrate- I wouldn't be surprised if he had fallen over dead.  I was just thinking about him the other day when I was browsing around on the super secret site.  As I recall, he disappeared off of another forum at one point almost ten years ago due to ill health.  The chances of him clinging to life are next to nothing at this point.  Remember, he was married to SheWhoMustBeObeyed.

Rsmithnumbers stopped posting on Facebook (at least, on the one we knew about).  He occasionally was posting on a flight simulator website, until about a year ago.  He probably dropped dead.

Well this will be an interesting read for me. I wasn't aware DU existed until  2012 or so. I'm  surprised to learn it  was around in 2001. Then again, back then I was 19 and more interested in chasing tail and getting away with underage drinking than politics.

From what I have seen, most of them opera out in a flame of f bombs -- usually some sort of personal fight that escalates until even skinner can't ignore it.

After DU they probably just climb inside a bottle or bong and wait for the end.

Yeah, I wish I would've saved that photograph.

That was when Skins's island featured a "gallery" for primitives to post photographs of themselves, say, circa 2002-2005.  I dunno why he quit doing that; it was a valuable public service.

There was nothing remarkable about anything the HamstersFromHell primitive, a motorcycle mechanic from somewhere in southern Missouri, ever said; in that respect he was a pretty innocuous primitive.

Why BadCat and I remember him so well is that he looked, physically, as the stereotypical primitive would look; an aging pot-belled old hippie with thinning hair.

I may be able to help you with Hamsters - I'll post the news elsewhere, or try to - yesterday, a whole post on another DUmmy just disappeared there.

Torch just fell off the face of the earth, Subway was still homeless, and I don't even remember a "MrBenchley" but that was a long time ago.

Well, shit.

HamstersFromHell is older than he was fifteen years ago.
