Democrats dread Hillary's book tour
http://www.politico.com/story/2017/09/07/hillary-clinton-book-tour-democrats-242419
Reliving the 2016 nightmare is the last thing the party needs right now, many say.

Oh, no... What could go wrong?
Democratic operatives can’t stand the thought of her picking the scabs of 2016, again — the Bernie Sanders divide, the Jim Comey complaints, the casting blame on Barack Obama for not speaking out more on Russia. Alums of her Brooklyn headquarters who were miserable even when they thought she was winning tend to greet the topic with, “Oh, God,” “I can’t handle it,” and “the final torture.”

2. Umm....
Yeah. Because bringing the mess of Primary Election (Democratic) 2016 is exactly what needs to be done right now. NOT!!!

56. I think you're misguided. Both the P and GE need lancing and examination.
So the same people can't get away with the same things in 2018. Or less. And I'm mainly thinking of the MSM. No factor was bigger in electing Rump than the anti-Democrat bias of the big businesses that own 90% of all media these days, allowing notably the banality-of-evil 25-year insider-press conspiracy against Hillary.
Beltway insiders were chortling over vicious stories about her before she arrived in DC as first lady, but after she turned down an invitation from Sally Quinn, who'd been spreading stories like the one that Hillary was having a lesbian affair with her pet groomer, the pretenses were dropped and a 25-year vendetta began. Did I mention banality of evil? These people were outclasses by the toothpicks in their canapes.
A simple truth is that Trump was elected as a result of many factors, but a huge is because the people we see on TV every day wouldn't risk being banned from their talking-head gigs (as I've seen happen when one called out one obvious lie for what it was) and no longer being invited to A-list parties if they didn't sling dirt against the Democratic Party in general and Hillary specifically.
We really need to talk about this. Russian, the Kochs, the financial and energy industries, the extremely powerful religious right, AND big media all needed the Democrats to lose and the Republicans to win.
^ Smart, Logical People think this way. Obviously a troll.

14. Funny how these dreaders show up when Hillary is speaking up or fighting back..
but not when Democratic politicians are taking potshots at her.

21. Yeah, but it was just FINE for Bernie to spend the two months after the convention
writing his book instead of campaigning for the Democrat. (He did no events in July or August and only 2 in September. He had a book deadline to meet!)
How soon we forget . . . .

71. But he's a MAN
so it's okay.
Yes, I remember the lovefest about Bernie's book tour. From what I've seen so far, her book doesn't mince words. I hope she takes no prisoners on the tour!
I don't remember Bernie blaming everyone for his loss though...

32. LOL...Politico is absolute shit
It's laughable that you would portray the opinions of Politico's shit-stirring hacks as representative of "Democrats".
This Democrat is looking forward to reading Hillary's story and seeing more of her again.
"Many say"...

and we're all supposed to be gracious.

84. The article is divisive bullshit and spreading the article around is divisive bullshit.
Lies and smears are all some people will publish or post about her. Both within and without the party, and within and without DU.
It's disgusting.
-
The minute they claim the MSM was against her normal people laugh.
-
This is one of the times the common name for DU-folk hereabouts is well-earned and beyond: Dummies. Here's what D Party operatives see:
* 2016 is last year, and Hillary is not President;
* 2018's Congressional elections are 14 months away;
* Hillary will not be a candidate for anything - if ever again - until late 2019 at the earliest;
* The D Party needs to unify and pull together for the 2018 election;
* Hillary will be inciting recriminations, finger-point, and dissension over something in the past;
* The D Party needs to craft a compelling vision and slate of candidates communicating that vision;
* Hillary will confirm and prolong the public image of Ds as :loser: whining losers :loser: and will be sucking the oxygen D Party candidates need.
I am far from a political (or any other kind) genius, but figuring out why D Party leaders and operatives want Hillary and her finger-pointing out of the lime-light is not tough.

"Normal" is the key adjective.

Democratic not democrat. :rulez:
You all had better change it before the HPC members see it. Most libraries open late in the morning so you should have some time to fix it before they log in.

She is reassuring all you dummies that she will not lose again in 2020, she has a winning strategy all figured out. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :-) :-)

Please Hillary. Don't ever go away.

Well to be completely fair Bernie also had a new lakefront house paid in cash to furnish as well so not so much time to campaign for HiLIARy.

The campaign memoirs I think might be interesting would be those of her USSS detail.
