Berkeley Mayor Calls for Antifa to be Classified as Crime Gang After Clashes at Weekend Protest
Berkeley Mayor Jesse Arreguin has called for authorities to tackle left-wing violence by classifying members of antifa, the loosely organized group of “anti-fascists” who believe that violence is acceptable in countering right-wing extremism, as a gang.
A largely peaceful demonstration in Berkeley’s Martin Luther King Civic Center Park was disrupted Sunday by black-clad antifa counterprotesters, who jumped over police barriers and chased Trump supporters, according to multiple news reports.
The antifa seem to be drawing the kind of negative publicity we dont need.

The Mayor changed his tune after the seriously bad press after ANTIFA tried to burn down the campus, rioted downtown and then attacked people in the streets. He stood by them until it looked bad on him... then, like most [D]s, he threw them under the bus.

A friend of mine, who was my choir director (she finally left the position, saying that she had no more to give), just moved her daughter to Berkeley, where said daughter is going to grad school for something in the nanobiology field. I wonder what she's told my friend about the riots . . . I think I'll have to find out soon . . . :whistling:

I've said this before in different threads on different subjects, but the point remains valid. What a liberal believes today is all that matters, and what they have ALWAYS believed. What they believed yesterday or will believe tomorrow do not.

Exactly. His tactics failed and lead to 3 large riots. Now he's trying to cover his @$$.
It's almost funny to see MSM folk and Lib/Prog pols grudgingly admitting what Donald Trump was mocked and condemned for saying 6 or 7 weeks ago.

As much as the progressives / libs and MSM would like us to believe the antifa are good guys video 's of their violence and destruction and out of control behavior tell a different story. We are not as blind and stupid as they believe we are.
It is time for the DOJ to go after them, and the ones financing and directing them.

It's similar to the fall of 2011, when Bloomberg finally grew some balls and had the Occupy Wall Street camp torn down (The DUmmies' tears were particularly yummy that day); While he supported them at first, they quickly escalated to levels of violence and public disruption that made his city, and by extension himself, look bad, so he knew he couldn't turn a blind eye to it any longer.
Antifa shouldn't just be declared a gang: They, and fellow left- wing extremist group BAMN (By Any Means Necessary) should be officially designated as terrorist groups.
