Can someone tell me what kind of logic this is:

A: An all-powerful deity exists and is responsible for everything.
B: I believe this is true, and have faith that it is true, therefore:
C: An all-powerful deity exists and is responsible for everything.

Logic you don't agree with?

I can illustrate it:

Sorry but you are not qualified to talk about religion intelligently.

Logic you don't agree with?

It looks like he's trying to be a cross between Aristotle and Pvt. Bowers from Idiocracy, making-fun of religious texts.

Somebody bigger than God has to convince Mineral that God created everything, is what he's attempting to spoof.

Thereby Mineral is the somebody who's bigger than the somebody who's bigger than God, I guess.

I have never seen that particular set of premises used to prove the existence of God. It appears to be some kind of convoluted bastardization of some other logical arguments I've seen. He either made this up or took it from an atheist site that is using it to infer that belief in God is illogical.

The same logic that says:

A: The universe happened after singularity which is responsible for everything.
B: I believe this is true even though I can't know with 100% accuracy what was before singularity, therefore:
C: The universe happened after singularity which is responsible for everything.

Is that the current "settled science"?

The "settled science" in school textbooks of the 1920s into the 1960s (yes, that late!) had Piltdown Man as an ancestor of modern humans. Some time in the 1960s school textbooks caught up with Piltdown Man having been exposed as a fraud and quietly deleted him.

MM's god, Science, is as limited and flawed as the humans whose observations make it, if that good.

Exactly! In 100 years, or 200 years, or 500 years, "scientists" will look back and say "Can you believe how stupid those people were back in the 20th Century to believe in Singularity and the Big Bang, when we know now it really was ......."

And then 500 years later, scientists will look back on them and laugh. It's a big cycle.

The only thing they'll ever agree on is that God doesn't exist. Their problem, not mine.

16. I'm glad to hear that.

Because I enjoy learning about such things. Still, I really insist that the things I learn have some basis in reality. I also have intuition, which has led me astray many, many times. I have learned not to rely on it very much.

He has learned not to rely on his intuition too much.  What a laugh.  This dipshit is always posting some stupid hunch or prediction about how President Trump is just about to be squashed by the big shoe drop.  What a simpleton.

More like:

A: An all-powerful deity exists and is responsible for everything.
B: I believe this is true, and have faith that it is true, therefore:
C: I strive imperfectly to live my life in a manner that will give pleasure to that Deity, that pleasure being expressed in some way during my life and greatly for eternity afterwards.

I used to not believe in Piltdown Man.  But I have seen pictures of him.  He's still alive and well in Eastern Nebraska, and spent decades suspended from a catbird seat over a vat of raw sewage.  Although rumor has it that he's dying.

:hi5:

Dead on.  I'm also an imperfect creation of said Deity, and I do an imperfect job of worshipping Him, but I keep trying to do better.

Only I would change is replace Deity with God or Jesus Christ.  I'm an AA member and I despise the term "Higher Power" , but I sincerely apologize if my slightly narrower description offends you and I mean that with absolutely no sarcasm.   And thank you for your service.
