I listened to Trump last night. Didn't really hear him say much.
Rather, he made a bunch of statements that had no specificity at all. He won't say what he's going to do. He just says he's going to do something. Essentially, he spoke in generalities and made specious claims that he will get something done.
There really wasn't a plan laid out at all, just some words that sounded like a plan that hasn't been actually figured out.
I believe he was just trying to take people's attention off something, rather than to provide any actual information.
The end of the takeaway: "We're not really going to do anything. We're just going to say some shit."

Your hearing aid needs a new battery.

To borrow from a very old saying, there is none so deaf as (s)he who will not hear.

President Trump has repeatedly said that he will not be an idiot like Obama and tell the enemy his plans for them.
Obama's brilliant strategy was to tell the terrorists in Afghanistan that he was sending more troops, and then told the terrorists that they just had to hide out for awhile and that he was planning on withdrawing the troops by a certain date. Brilliant moron.

It's frustrating how much of Trump's foreign policy is trying to undo and reverse Clintonian and Obamian stupidity, fecklessness, and weakness.

There was an SNL routine in '90/'91 during the first Gulf War. Kevin Nealon played a White House spokesman, and reporters kept asking specific questions. Such as when and where we were going to attack. So not much has changed in 27 years.
Couldn't find a clip of it, just sticks in my memory about how stupid the media is.

There was a pretty strong dose of Bush/Powell stupidity in there too. The whole thing was run in a very shoe-string, half-ass-committed way while Iraq was the focal point, and the entire strategy was based on the flawed assumption that the locals would all morph into thoughtful patriotic small-d-democrats as soon as the Taliban was knocked off the top of the hill. Stupid idea, really, but one pursued with even greater vigor by the pompous buffoons who followed him and his team.

Just out of curiosity, as I didn't see or hear the speech.
How many times did President Trump use "I," "me," and "mine," as compared with his conceited idiot predecessor?

We're not saying who and how many we're shipping over. And we're not saying who and how many we're shipping back.
Nobody telephones Washington first anymore. Just do the mission.
We're going into Pakistan whenever we want. Any complaints, go tell 'em to Pershing.
Pakistan will now go broke if they don't dance to our tune.
We'll now stop fussing over Afghan's tribal-warlords.
Those are the simple basics from last-night, even Mineral should understand.

I remember that, I think he was playing a general.

You didn't hear much because your mouth is open and your ears are closed. Your brain is befuddled with progressive bull shit and you are to F**king stupid to listen and think for your self.

That is what Syria thought just before the bombs landed. :whistling:
