A WHOLE LOT of shit that goes on in schools is gonna quietly go the way of the dodo once word starts filtering through the student grapevine that "if I [threaten a student/teacher] [Insert Misbehavior of choice here], {s}he may shoot my ass in self defense."

Good!  Although I have known a few teachers over the years who should never ever ever be allowed to possess anything more dangerous than silly putty.

Most of those that you knew probably also had silly putty for brains, and lap up the Sarah Brady pablum by the bucket full.  They probably weren't a threat.

Though another thing to consider might be, if the school system as currently constituted has such a demonstrably terrible time keeping pedophiles out of teaching slots, how can we hope to expect that they can intercept the crazy moonbat with the gun in his/her backpack and a chip on his/her shoulder?

Well, a lot of the questions are going to be answered by this;

Quote
Teachers who wish to bring guns will have to be certified to carry a concealed handgun in Texas and get crisis training and permission from school officials, he said.
