6. Seriously, "Lady Jayne Seymour Fonda"?
So celebrities gave their children idiotic names even that long ago. Apparently she is a distant relation of Jane Seymour.
So Peter Henry Fonda wasn't named for his dad, he was named for Lady Jane's husband. Haha.
She was a bit naive at the time, undoubtedly. But war is war, is it not? And the people of Vietnam were not the enemy. They were the victims of the imperialistic invaders. The US was the enemy. It was war, the war the US was waging against the Vietnamese people, and she took her stand on the side of right.
I hold no particular brief for her. She made millions by deceiving millions of women into believing that her stupid exercises, and not her bulemia (and boob job), accounted for her physique. She became involved through her husband's connections with a military academy. She decided to be a Christian. However, she did have a complex and difficult background, including sexual assault and abuse from a young age. She seems to have sorted it out finally and is an articulate feminist now.
Obviously those who have no shame for what the US did to Vietnam hate her. It's always good to be hated by the right people.
Generally speaking, DUmbasses don't really get me pissed off. But this one particular subject and this bull@# right here makes me wanna thrash someone about the head and shoulders.

It's always good to be hated by the right people.
The right people hate Jane Fonda, and she earned it. I suspect I'm literalizing iver/Fuzzy's sarcasm. Not that I care.
:banghead: :censored: I'd love for iver/Fuzzy to be confined in a room, with mouth duct-taped, with a dozen or two Boat People, children of South Vietnamese "formers", and survivors or children of survivors of Cambodia's "Killing Fields". :censored: For iver/Fuzzy to have to listen to the horrific suffering the US tried to prevent in South Vietnam and SEA. :censored: :banghead:
