A smoldering campfire for several days now. One of many threads that 'splain how the special election in Georgia was a special win for Dumb-O-craps.
The premise:

They had to spend 25 million to hold a republican seat in a red district.
That's progress for us

8. And we spent the same to lose it
The difference is, Rethugs have money to burn, Ossoff's loss cost some of our people some necessities.
Wait a cotton pickin' minute:

19. We didn't lose it as we didn't have it in the first place.
They had to spend big bucks defending a piece of their own turf
Bam!

9. Aye this wasnt really much of a win due to the amount they had to spend to hold onto that seat.
Let's apply that reasoning to Clinton spending 2.2 Billion against Trump's 750 million.

10. Absolutely! We made HUGE progress and THIS is the 50 state strategy everyone wants.
LBM20 (137 posts), be advised, you are not qualified to use big words like HUGE. However please explain this 50 state strategy. Is it spend money, lose elections? If so, good idea!

25. True, but this special election received an inordinate amount of attention and fundraising
There were literally record-breaking amounts of money being spent by both campaigns, so this was not your typical special election.
I donated a small amount to Ossoff's campaign. Thereafter, I was deluged with emails asking for more money - to an incredibly annoying degree. Since I assume you donated as well, you know what I'm talking about. <---- you ASSumed that DUmmy ehrnst donated anything to this or any other election :lmao:

26. Yup. <--- Nope
There's a song where Warren Zevon sings, "never thought I'd have to pay so dearly for what was already mine." <--- The Beatles "I'm a Loser".
After the Georgia election this week, I bet Republicans are singing that too <--- :loser:

Whatever obscene amount Johnny Depp made from his latest Pirates dreck could have paid for Ossoff's entire campaign. Lots of real yet effectively worthless money can always be found in Hollywood. In fact, it has been backfiring for a while now.

And just to irk the DUmmies, $25 mil is like pocket change to the "evil dastardly Koch Brothers". :hammer:
-
Now that's some major goofy reasoning.
"The Republicans had to spend a bunch of money to keep a seat they already had. All it cost for us to make them spend a bunch of money was the same amount they spent plus a bunch more. We win!!"

Well, these are the same math geniuses who are convinced that we can tax ourselves right into prosperity, so this "logic" isn't really surprising coming from them.
