I don't like doing this but we are asking for donations again
We received a few very generous donations since the summit. They really help a great deal. And we’re grateful for the support.
The Summit cost much more than anticipated. The banners alone cost almost $400.
The hope is to continue with a JackpineRadicals YouTube show. We want to interview progressive candidates throughout the country as well as activists who are causing change.
We also still have upgrades we want to do and some fixes, like replies and edits in groups, a better search engine, etc.
Plus, those hamsters just won’t work unless we feed them.
We don’t want anyone to feel obligated to donate. But if you enjoy the site and are able to help keep us going and improve, we would greatly appreciate your support.

There's a hint that the two chicks who founded the site, but never got it going until Manny jumped aboard, pay themselves a salary or a stipend, which seems mighty capitalist of them.
Compare that, please, with conservativecave where the owner, a single father of children--teenagers, yikes!--who works more than 40 hours a week in a real job, manages to present this site as a public service for the Good of Humanity.....asking for no money at all.

The jackals actually have a selling point in that their are a sizable number of libs who are of the opinion that the Dem party isn't kooky enough for them and they need to form a new party. Problem is there aren't enough of them, and the regular lib kooks don't even want to be associated with their even crazier comrades. But there's enough if they can carve out their little corner of the internet and lead them by the nose.
Skin's participated on his own island at first, and then he just decided to use the site as a vehicle to get himself a few perks and bring in some rainy day cash. Maybe the jackal chicks are just trying to cash in while they can. And who can blame them.
