I would like to thank Russia for . . . .
the exhilaration of seeing the neo cons stopped in their tracks.
we americans haven't been able to stop them. or even slow them down in their criminality.
now if more of the world would join in, we might rid us all of this criminal gang and get about the business of saving the health of the earth and everything on it.

There you have it: it's all OK if it serves a liberal's political purposes.

3. If I could recommend anything 1000 times I would do so for this post
It represents exactly who we are and what we are all about.

14. Two thoughts - 1) the chickenshit neocons would NEVER go up against Russia because
it is a real nation with a real military. They only like to wage war against powers like Grenada, Panama, and Iraq - in other words, foes that cannot fight back.
2) Can we ask Russia (and the world) to invade our Georgia and other red states to rescue us from the genocide that the pukes are jonesing for?
Complete and utter assholes.
-
They seem to be missing the angle that the Russians are really neo-cons who engaged in this "made for Hollywood" conflict to draw attention away from them being willing participants in the PNAC desire to rule the world.
No doubt they'll eventually come around to that particular theory when it suits their whackos purposes.

Then in another thread they will be all worked up about conservatives supposedly wanting to kill all libs.
What is the exact clinical term for being able to keep ideas that are contradictory and incompatable seperated in their minds to be able to believe both with all their heart?

This is a keeper:

22. We "worked" with Russia against the nazis 60 years ago. It's time for a repeat.
Russia is the only nation capable of standing up to the repukes (our Democrats certainly aren't).
After the real enemy is defeated, we can "constructively engage" with the Russians to bring them closer to democracy.
But, first things first.

WTF? This DUmmie is happy that Russia is attacking Georgia, and wants more wars to start in other countries just to show that the US is incapable of stopping them?
We got lots of nukes.

40. Hands Down One Of The Most Illogical, Irrational And Flat Out Moronic Concepts I've Ever Read Here.
Trust me, that was no easy feat to accomplish.

Not to be confused with Al-Shifa Sudan, Haiti, Somalia and Serbia.

45. Let's remember that Russia has done in Chechnya what Georgia attempted to do in South Ossetia. Chechnya had no big, strong neighbor that would come to its aid, as South Ossetia did, so Chechnya got leveled.
Russia cares about national territorial integrity dissident forces are within Russia's own borders, but stands up for the rights of breakaway provinces when they are in other countries (particularly provinces with ethnic Russian populations and proximity to an oil/gas pipeline they would like to control).
We are prone to assume that everything that happens in the world is due to something that the US has done, or allowed to happen, or caused to happen. (It is a version of "American exceptionalism). It is possible that Russia, Georgia, and Ossetia (North and South) have existed for longer than the US has been around and might have reasons to resent each other.
Someone needs to inform this primitive that the end of some of the "Blame America First" comments will have to wait until, perhaps, B. Hussein takes office. Until then, it's definately Americas fault.

Ignorance and stupidity so thick you could easily suffocate in it. I was going to say "Cut it with a knife," but it seems to be totally impervious to penetration by any known means.

It's called Schizophrenia!

Surely an M1A2 could shoot a sabot round through it . . .

43. It's only a matter of time before this thread gets forwarded to Rush or Hannity
Perhaps that will finally make it obvious to the idiots who cheer on despotic regimes who "stick it to Bush" that they do more harm than good.
Rarely is the enemy of your enemy your friend. Eventually, they'll turn their eye on you as well.
Sanity is not allowed on DU, Comrade Daniels. Tombstone coming up for you.

I'm not sure even a 120mm APFDS would make it through that kind of "DU" armor.
-
Mia....are you ready to turn in your DU you card yet? :p

Let's see, America invades Iraq, attempt's to foster a democracy (Even if access to oil is a part of the euqation), and that is evil. Russia fosters rebellion in another country invades their territory siezes an oil pipeline and runs amok, and that's great.
The DUmmies are not just stupid, they are suicidally stupid.
