So young people don't vote? Why is that?

I spent my early voting years serving in the USAF. My official address was my parents home. I voted in every election, including local elections, by absentee ballot, requested and returned by mail. It wasn't all that difficult to do, really.

It seemed important to me to vote. It has always seemed important to me to vote. When I was stationed in Turkey, I voted. When I was stationed in Maryland, I voted. I voted in every election, once I turned 21, which was the voting age back in the mid to late 60s, when I first was able to vote.

People should vote when they are eligible to do so. They should register to vote at the address on their driver's license if they're young and still in school. They should get their absentee ballots and make their preferences known.

It's not difficult. It takes only a little time to do.

People who do not vote do not care. If they cared, they'd vote. It is that simple. I have no patience with the excuses given by young people for not voting. Just freaking vote!

Because people under 30 are lazy.

Stupid Rockhead.  Everyone knows that since BJ Clinton was running, military absentee votes aren't counted.

I realize MM is trying to distract DU-folk from the very disappointing week, but IMO, in no particular order young non-voters:

* Believe voting is pointless because government is FUBAR;

* Are doing other things in their life;

* Looked at Trump and saw "awful", but looked at Hillary and saw her as even worse.

That's because in typical DUmmie fashion, Rockhead had to pat himself on his back before getting to the point.

The line between rockhead and dickhead is at times hard to detect.

Unsurprisingly, DUmmie, the ever-desired "youth vote" doesn't show up.  They didn't in 2016, they didn't in 2012, they didn't in 2008, they didn't in 2004, they didn't in 2000.  The "youth vote" never shows up.  Never has, never will.  They're either too preoccupied with their own lives, or they haven't bothered to actually learn about the issues, or they're just too stoned to make it out of the basement and to the polls, but one way or the other, the "youth vote" never shows up.

Courting them is and always has been a fool's errand.

Virtue signalling and concern trolling all in one.

"Why aren't young people as pious as I was when I was young?  What keeps them from being Good like me?"
