As a Baby Nurse close to 30 years ago....in the interest of public safety, it was MY responsibility
to make sure that I learned everything that I needed to know BEFORE I took care of patients.
I was NOT allowed to treat a patient, give a medication or perform a procedure UNTIL I was well-versed
in what I was doing.
I do NOT give this Orange Menance a pass.
There is NOBODY that has EVER been elected POTUS that "knew" the job...that is why they hired people around them to help.
But this POS-POTUS did the exact opposite. He FIRED the career people around him that could have helped him.
The fault for HIS ignorance lies with HIM. He doesn't get a pass for not learning the job.
Hell...my incompetence could only have killed one person at a time. His incompetence can kill millions.
It is NOT an acceptable learning curve.
Didn't horse face get canned from the health industry for stealing meds and taking them during work?

6. Trump can argue that he was unfamiliar with procedures and protocols,
but he can't excuse his lack of character, honor and integrity. Would any other reasonable person believe that Trump was acting on the up and up when he told everyone to get out of the room so he could get Comey alone?
This own staff knew he was up to no good and Reince Priebus was even worried enough to open the door only to be waved off by the president so he could continue pressuring Comey about Mike Flynn.

11. It might be the Dunning–Kruger effect. He might literally not realize how dumb he is, all the while thinking he's the smartest guy in the room. If this is the case, I'd like to see his face at the moment that balloon pops.

14. Stubbornness
I agree with Horse with no name. I am retired Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. How can anyone possibly excuse this presidents behavior when he has violated expected standards of society, not just the presidency, his entire life. The Republican Congress is only defending him for their own greedy agenda. They are in it for themselves and have no regard for their country or constituents!

34. Welcome aboard from a not-yet-retired PNP.
I've been at it since 1976, and am wondering how many more years I want to continue. I used to be afraid I would miss it, but since the advent of electronic medical records, which I detest, I no longer worry about that as much.
It has been asked, in what other very important job, would lack of knowledge and experience be considered a desirable quality. One would not hire a surgeon who had never done the operation you needed, or a pilot who had never flown, or a builder who had never put up a house. Why should that be different for POTUS?
DU is suddenly full of nurses?

25. He was running against "the best prepared candidate in the history of our country"
Trump said he knew the system. Even though he never held public office.
At the same time, Obama and others said that Hillary was the most thoroughly prepared candidate in American history. She had been First Lady, Senator, Secretary of State, and been on various projects, such as a lawyer working on the Congressional committee handling the Nixon impeachment.
We knew the difference. And yet we chose Trump. We taught Hillary a lesson we'll never forget.

32. Guess what? It hasn't changed anywhere but in my companies upper management
and since we're unionized, we won't allow "a nurse is a nurse is a nurse". I am a highly trained NICU nurse and yet they want the privilege of sending me to any unit and giving me any assignment. They won't win. It's unsafe.
Just a small diversion from the truly important part which is we have a pResident who doesn't have a clue what he's doing and that's dangerous and wrong.
more nurses,,,

37. My mother was a nurse in the Army
during WWII and was stationed in the Philippines. I have so much respect for your profession. My mother passed away 3 years ago and hearing these stories make me miss her so much.
Our military nurses in WWII were an unspoken hero in that war. We see so many movies about male soldiers, but rarely anything remotely resembling what our nurses went through. We need to change that.
Thank-you for your service and please know you are very appreciated, even if you never hear it
I used to date a nurse.

She had been First Lady, Senator, Secretary of State,
And she's been a spectacular failure at each and every one.
and been on various projects, such as a lawyer working on the Congressional committee handling the Nixon impeachment.
You mean the one she was kicked off of for lying?

Be sure to thank your Obamessiah for that.

You mean like sitting in the front row of a "church" for twenty years listening to "God damn America?"

1 I respect medical professionals highly, probably much more than many DU-folk (i.e. those who have rejected "Western Medicine" or are otherwise into "Alternative Medicine"), but that is hyperbole verging on the ridiculous. Given the number and flow of patients, that just isn't possible.
2 First, . Second, for an analogy to be valid, it has to be analogous.
3 You just admitted your analogy is not analogous.
4 First, I guess you're too ignorant or hatred-blinded to know this, but Obama did the same thing. Bush did the same thing. Clinton did the same thing. And so on back for decades or even a couple of centuries. All newly elected Presidents replace the previous administrations' high level officials. Second, I guess you're too ignorant or hatred-blinded to know this, but the hands-on and middle-manglement stay on from President to President to President. Trump has not been an exception to this.

6. Trump can argue that he was unfamiliar with procedures and protocols,
They keep forgetting, then remembering, that obozo was unfamiliar with EVERYTHING when he was elected. obozo had never held a job of any kind and was a no-show legislator for just a short while.
So that is why they keep walking back the "Trump isn't experienced" accusations. They apply EVEN MORE to obozo.

obozo wasn't good for anything except paying back those who bought him the job with 8 TRILLION bucks of our money. :argh: :argh: :argh: :argh:

<bunch of drivel>
I have an idea there dummie. Change your DU handle to something that more resembles your personality. My suggestion would be Anonymous Horse's Ass.

This is either a good mole or an ignorant DUmmie, this perfectly describes Obama. Especially when he had his health care summit early in his administration and Ryan basically schooled him. Ryan got a lot of Obama salutes that day from him.
