Religious scholar Reza Aslan, host of CNN’s Believer, went on a profane Twitter rant against President Donald Trump on Saturday night, calling Trump a “piece of shit”, a “stain on the presidency” and an “embarrassment to America…and humanity” over Trump’s calling for reinstatement of his travel ban in response to the London terror attacks earlier Saturday night.
Aslan is an Iranian Shia Muslim refugee who came to America with his family during the Islamic revolution that overthrew the Shah in 1979, according to Wikipedia. Aslan says he became an American citizen.

CNN Host Apologizes for Profanity-Laced Trump Tweet, Says “It’s Not Like Me” to Use Profanity — He’s Lying and Tweets Prove It
After his tweet went viral Aslan apologized on Twitter saying “it’s not like me” to use profanity.
I should not have used a profanity to describe the President when responding to his shocking reaction to the #LondonAttacks. My statement: pic.twitter.com/pW69jjpoZy

But, of course, Aslan is lying.
The CNN “religious scholar” has a long record of profanity-laced tweets against conservative personalities.

Twitchy discovered several of Aslan’s profanity-laced posts.
Hey @rezaaslan, you said you "lost your cool" and "that's not like me." It seems you lose your cool easily and often. Maybe counseling? pic.twitter.com/c4OEaKx9xW

CNN’s Reza Aslan Deletes Additional Tweet Calling Trump’s Son a ‘Piece of S**t’
After apologizing for calling Donald Trump a "piece of shit," CNN's Reza Aslan deleted a separate tweet that called both the president and his eldest son the same thing.
But a quick Twitter search revealed that Aslan had penned several tweets using profanity to attack Trump and his supporters.
Oh the joy when this lying conniving scumbag narcissistic sociopath piece of shit fake president finally gets what's coming to him. https://t.co/iVZGAwCF9P

After his other profane tweets went viral, Aslan deleted a September tweet that attacked Donald Trump Jr.
"Like piece of shit father, like piece of shit son," the deleted tweet read.

CNN severs ties with host who called Trump 'a piece of s---'
http://thehill.com/homenews/media/337161-cnn-severs-ties-with-host-who-called-trump-a-piece-of-st
CNN has parted ways with controversial host Reza Aslan one week after Aslan called President Trump "a piece of s---" and "an embarrassment to mankind" on Twitter.
"CNN has decided to not move forward with production on the acquired series "Believer with Reza Aslan,'" the network said in a statement. “We wish Reza and his production team all the best."
The Iranian-born Aslan is the host of CNN's "Believer," which aired weekly on Sunday nights. The 45-year-old author and religious scholar also called the president a "man baby" in a subsequent tweet. That tweet was in response to a decision by NBC News to not report on Trump's retweet of a Drudge Report tweet reporting London terror attacks because it contained "unconfirmed information" at the time. The network instead referred to the situation as a "security incident."
Good. First Kathy Griffin, now Reza Aslan. Adios!
