Those superior attitudes were there long ago- why I got fired once :D
The restaurant I waited tables at would get this church group every Wednesday. They would fill up a waitresses entire section and run her ragged. They did not tip. None of them did. They would ruin the waitresses income for that day as she wasn't able to seat other customers that tipped.
They were in my section one Wednesday night and this one lady said this when I handed her her separate check ( they all always asked for separate checks) " I don't believe in tipping. None of us do, so I'm not going to tip you. You should have been smart enough to get a job that pays a decent salary. " As she was leaving she left a paper on the table for me which was called something like 'How to attain salvation.". I dunno I just snapped. I picked it up and yelled before she could reach the door " Hey lady take this little paper and shove it up your ass!" Uhmn .. I got fired. It was worth it. That was over 20 years ago, but I see those smug attitudes of the haves for the have nots have not changed a bit. I bet wherever that woman is she voted for Trump.
And yet the jerkoff primitive just has to throw Trump in.

I bet that you are an idiot .

Remember the First Rule of Primitivity:
DUmmies lie; all the time, DUmmies lie.
I don't believe it happened the way she told it; I suspect she exaggerated some details, invented out of thin air other details.
They do it all the time.

I think the way it really happened was this:
A large church group monopolized a dining section of the restaurant, just as many other sorts of groups, such as Alcoholics Anonymous after a meeting, for example, and like many large groups, they rudely and inconveniently asked for separate checks.
And like many other sorts of large groups, they probably didn't tip; it's easier to get out of tipping if one's of a crowd, rather than only a couple or three people.
After that, the rest is all bullshit.

Without commenting on her actual :bouncy: -tale, there is, sadly, much truth in this stereotype. Several Christian friends of ours have worked as waiters/waitresses and had those sad experiences. FWIW, for our part, we were the reverse, long before hearing of the stereotype. We also go out of our way to let a shift manager know when a waiter/waitress has given excellent service (we do get some amusing weary looks when we ask to see the manager, :-) ).

29. Look at it this way.
It was 20 years ago. Maybe she's dead. Hatefulness and greed shorten people's lives, in the main.
<<<bets the primitives aren't too happy being reminded of this.

Most places automatically add a tip (15 - 18%) on parties of 6 or more...even 20 years ago. And I cannot imagine a Manager allowing that to happen on a weekly basis.

I must agree, this is of course why many restaurants levy a service charge on such groups, and may also refuse to do separate checks for groups over a certain size. Also congrats on the 10K.

Thanks, folks! I hadn't really paid much attention to my CC posts count since becoming Sandhills Eligible, so I'm surprised it reached that milestone.

I know I'm "too nice" ( :-) ), but my inclination would be a post along the lines of, "That was 20 years ago. Hopefully she's learned to be better."
Putting things in real terms, I'd prefer a TMN who changed so far as to treat people like people - regardless of their political views - over a TMN killed by his bitterness and hatred.

I would as well. The actual chances of that happening? 0.000000000000000000001% or so . . .
