By just 62 votes, Eric Bauman wins contentious election for California Democrati

SACRAMENTO — In an unusually competitive and tense election to lead the California Democratic Party, longtime party activist and insider Eric Bauman defeated Kimberly Ellis, a political organizer from Richmond backed by the powerful nurse’s union and other Bernie Sanders supporters.

Congratulations to the new California Democratic Party Chair Eric C. Bauman! @EricBauman #CADEM17 #CaliforniaLeads

— CA Democratic Party (@CA_Dem) May 21, 2017

The vote count — 1,493 – 1,431 — shows just how split the party is over its future, with many so-called “Berniecrats” trying to move the party to the left, unsatisfied with the status quo.

Across the street, “absolute pandemonium” broke out in the Sheraton Hotel lobby where supporters of Bauman had gathered, said Sean Kiernan, a Bauman volunteer from Los Angeles.

1. Cali Dems commit suicide.

Ah, rejecting the fringe lunatic gimme candidate in favor of a more-mainstream candidate seems a wise move to me, helping to ensure survival of the California Democrat party.

Again, too bad for Mildred and the other Manny's primitives, greedy parasitical gluttons who never deserve to win a damned thing.

Oh now.

I've written before, about how important it is that we keep a viable two-party system, so as to preserve the Republic.  That doesn't mean I want Democrats to be the bigger party, or in power; it merely means I want there to be enough of them to keep my party from over-reaching.

The White House, of course; but the Supreme Court with proportions more reflective of the actual public sentiment in this country, six (R) justices and three (D) justices.  The Senate, maybe 70 (R)s and 30 (D)s.  The House of Representatives, 300 (R)s and 135 (D)s, and all these "delegates" from non-states tossed out.

That'd allow for the second party to at least keep (R) egos in line.

So.....if franksolich were the Louis Antoine de St-Just of the imminent Terror during which time freeloading parasitical elements of society would be purged, I'd be real sure that Manny's primitives, supporters of the hoary old sourassed sourpuss crank from Vermont, are aboard the first tumbrils, first in line.

All except the big guy Omaha Steve, who'd have to be first specially locked up and fed a 500-calorie-a-day diet so as to reduce his bulk, so he could fit into the guillotine.

Eric Bauman is a D Party insider from the Land of LA; Kimberly Ellis is somewhat of an insider, but really hasn't "paid her dues". Just looking at their relative experiences and ignoring the internecine stuff, He's got the knowledge and experience, where she would have been out of her depth.

Factoring back in some of the real-world "stuff", she's black, and he's white. Outside of politics, skills, knowledge, and experience should be what matters, but skin color matters in the D Party.

In CA, D Party insider vs. Bernie-ite is mundane lunatic vs. crazed lunatic. The Ds rule CA and are destroying it; the difference between these two is how swiftly CA crashes into some sort of wall and how much it burns.

Bauman is from the Great and Glorious Land of LA; Ellis is from Richmond, a grungy northeast SF Bay Area city of ~110K. Unlike the USC, CA's constitution has no provision that could hinder a populous city and county like Los Angeles from lording it over and oppressing the rest of the state (often with the help of San Jose and San Francisco, the 3rd and 4th largest cities in the state). Given that reality, it's surprising Ellis came close.
