FBI clears Michael Flynn in probe linking him to Russia

The FBI has reviewed intercepted phone calls between national security adviser Michael Flynn and the Russian ambassador to the US and has found no evidence of wrongdoing, it was revealed Monday.
The calls were made in late December and picked up as part of routine electronic surveillance of Russian officials. They did not reveal any illicit ties between Flynn and Russia, according to the Washington Post.
The review of the calls was part of a wider probe into Russia’s interference in the presidential election and hacking of the Democratic National Committee.

This doesn't speak to Flynn failing to mention that paid speech in Russia on his security clearance re-app, but that happened under Obama.

More seriously, a handful of phone calls between Flynn and surveilled Russians were intercepted, the last being, at latest, in January. It took the FBI 3 1/2 months to listen to a few phone calls, realize they were innocuous, and "clear" Flynn of wrong-doing? This kind of kowtowing to political pressure is probably a large part of why Comey got canned. The listening and clearing should have taken a day or less; the rest of the 3 1/2 months' delay was playing along with Ds' Russia-Hacked-the-Election fantasies and the MSM who shilled those fantasies.
